I rarely fish them because they seem so similar to a brush hog style bait that I'd rather fish with. There's no denying their effectiveness, I caught my PB on an 8" watermelon lizard.

Yes, baby brush hog or full sized, either one. They look similar to a lizard to me, I have a hard time believing a bass can tell the difference.

I like lizards a lot . The only reason I dont fish them more is I have so many worms I need to use up . I won several thousand dollars in a two year period fishing nothing but electric blue lizards .

Always a bag of lizards in my tackle when fishing, especially in the spring time.

im in the same boat, i bought so many cool plastics to try, and as I fished them, I am seeing that nearly all the plastics I bought arent working, only the lizards, so those other plastics sit why I keep buying more lizards. Walmart is not bad, they got a box full of yum plastics for only 1.96$ so $10 will get you 5 different bags of plastics.

I also have went through that process.  I now have it down to the few plastics that I have confidence in.  So now I can just focus on those and have given my younger brother and another friend the ones that were just sitting there.  So this winter I will be stocking up on the plastics that I have found work best for me.

I have used and caught fish with lizards but I prefer the Baby Brush Hog. It has worked better and caught me bigger fish than a lizard ever has.

yes, primarily the Zoom 5” lizard in green pumpkin/chart, and sometimes june bug. late winter thru late fall, 5’ to 25’. spots LOVE them, but i’ve caught plenty of good largemouth on them too, and the fish don’t seem to care whether it’s spring or not. they just keep on hitting them.

I catch plenty of smaller fish with the baby brush hogs. Brush hogs don’t work well for me at all.

I do well with lizards, mainly the 7 inch ( I think ) Zoom  in pumpkin or watermelon seed. Bigger average fish. The zoom lizard is versatile- it can be used in several different ways. For me , I do best with either a medium speed retrieve on top, esp. over and around grass , or working them slow on the bottom.

I usually have a zoom 6" lizard tied on.

I usually texas rig them but will also Carolina rig them. Color just depends on the water clarity.

The watermelon red flake is a perfect imitation of a red spotted newt which is fairly common in our southern waters here.

I caught my personal best (10lb 2oz) on a Zoom Lizard black with blue flake.  I don't tend to fish them as much as I use to.  I am not sure what the deal is but the bass don't seem to bite on them as much as they use to> that won't stop me from using them though.
