Reaction Innovations Skinny dipper rigging

Have never thrown these..to be honest I have very limited experience with swimbaits have only ever thrown the eco pro swim shad. Was wondering what your favorite way is to rig the skinny dipper? Favorite colors? Thanks in advance

I love skinny dippers, one of the main things I use (and the only paddle tail). I rig them on a weighted swimbait hook with the screw lock. They are heavy and substantial and hold up well, and it takes practice to get the hookset right (delay and wait and make sure the fish has it, then set the hook hard). The colors all have offensive names, and I have had better luck on some colors than others, so this may be one of the options where the color may really matter. I use the green ones "sanchez"; I also like white, and I have tried black/blue.

They are effective on a ball head jig and work well on an underspin

Same here.  Also have them rigged on a chatterbait with skirt removed.

I’ve been using the Skinny Dipper for years down here.

My 2 favorite colors are Houdini and Pearl Blue.
I rig with an Owner 5/0 keel weighted twist lock hook w/centering pin.

In certain situations I’ll use a 6/0 Gambler Duz It hook.

It's dense and heavy enough to be very cast-able without a weighted hook, Rigged this way it can be run higher in the column at slower speeds. Just an option.

Surprisingly, it has become one of the most popular baits for punching on lake Chapala  Mexico.  A guide turned me on to the bait Texas rigged with a straight shank 4/0 hook and a 3/4 ounce tungsten bullet weight, pegged with two bobber stoppers.  I was reluctant to try it at first and kept fishing with my favorite beaver bait.  When I finally switched over to the Skinny Dipper it was like a light turned on.  Rigged that way it is also good for the occasional cast on the outside edge, of the weed mats with a slow steady retrieve  along the bottom.  Now it is my go to bait on that lake.

I know this is a super old post, but has anyone used a Skinny Dipper on a swim jig?

I've used them on swim jigs and chatterbaits. Not that I've caught anything with them - my best producer on a swim jig is a Berkley Pit Boss.

That's my go to swim jig trailer.

Yes, rigged it with a stinger hook on a Seibert swim jig.
