Hi guys!! Greetings from LA!! Learn a bunch reading stuff here for a little while now. Amazing fisherman's!! Lots of knowledge. I fish mostly at Castaic Lake but that was about 10 years ago I think...you know, kids happen hehe. Decided to fish again  last week by the way I'm a bank fisherman. Nothing change I'm still using same setups. Light line and bunch of plastics. (Fat ike, Senko) mainly and Dropshotting sometimes. Well one thing change..I caught my first Smallmouth!! Ask some guys around and they said its taking over the lake?? Anyway they fight good specially on a light line. So probably spend bunch of time on a smallmouth forums. Anyway I'm so happy to be a part here thank you guys stay safe!!

    Hi Robert. Fellow Castaic angler here. I'm making a return to fishing recently too. The smallmouth have become quite common over the years and they have some pretty good fight in them.

    Sounds like you sailed in the bite as best a shore angler can at Castaic with limited access.
