Cheaper alternative to Keiteich Impact?

Featured Replies

Not sure if you meant Fat Impact or the skinnier “regular” impact. I don’t know of any that are similar to the regular swing impact. For the fat impact there are many knockoffs out there but if you’re looking for an identical profile then these are it:

For the Fat Impacts look up Lake Champlain Lures or Eric Barcomb on Facebook.

Is the action pretty comparable? It seems like the few people who fish these always have great things to say about them and the price is great.

*I use the Eco Pro 3.8 on occasion is some colors - while other colors I find better / more consistent runs with the Keitech Fat Impact . Scent is different too on the  Keitech Fat Impacts (Squid scent) which no one else uses .

In all honesty I've tried many different paddletails to try and find less costly alternatives, they either end up being softer, harder, too much action, none to little action..........etc.

All my paddletails are Keitech now.   I gave up......lol

I find the Berkley PowerBait power swimmer has very similar qualities as the keiteich. Fish USA has them on sale now.

I’m a big fan of these. I used the 3.8 and 4.3 quite a bit last year for bass all season and for big pike in the spring. Excellent action, Berkley Powerbait scent added in and I caught multiple pike on one bait and they held up much better than any other swimbait I’ve used in the past.

I have never found a paddle tail that has the same action as the Fat Impact.  That being said, I have narrowed my use of the FI down to a single presentation, a nail weight rig.  Once you add any real amount of weight, the "wiggle at a very slow speed" advantage goes away, so most any similarly shaped plastic will perform the same imho.

Honestly I don't throw paddle tails often but for me the eco pro swing shad has done the trick.
