Anyone ever use them?

Seems like one of those I just over looked and I don't see them very often in tackle stores?

They look like they would do well in stained water. I made a spinner up over the weekend for some multi species fishing and gotta admit, I would love to see the copper get to that greenish patina stage.

 

Any opinions on copper bladed spinnerbaits?

Work very well in our marshes in both stained & clear water. 

 

Add a chartreuse, white, & blue skirt ?

I used copper blades for night and rainy weather.

Still have a few new in package copper Colorado blades, hammered.

Size 1 30 each

Size 4 20 each

Size 5 20 each

I use them . After the spawn when the bass have been hammered with spinnerbaits   for a couple of months I usually switch to dull skirts and sometimes copper blades . I use the secondary blade in copper a lot .

I remember that color scheme used to be really prevalent, don't see it anymore. The other was the same except for translucent instead of white.

Copper blades are supposed to be good for off-colored water, especially muddy or brownish-stained water. But give them a try in clear water too -- some sunfish species can be sort of coppery-colored.

 Just bought a couple from Blue...Check 'em out!

I started throwing copper last year on recommendation from here. They work.

I've used this combination for many years in the Atchafalaya Basin and the marshes in south Louisiana.

 

 

@riverat A friend of mine Wendell Hoffpauir use to make lures for Cajun Lure & Tackle Co back in the 80s. He made 1/4 spinnerbaits in that combination.
