Like most everybody I throw shad/chrome/minnow colors and craw colors. Also I love gold black back...and have had success on bluegill or fire tiger patterns. Are there any niche colors you have had great luck on? Always looking to expand the arsenal!

By far, my biggest producer. 

Chrome/Blue would be next followed by chrome/black

Never had luck on Fire Tiger or any chartreuse colored lipless crank.

I forgot about the orange craw like color. That really works well when that hard stuff on top the water goes away.

I have one that is a JDM color of a Lucky Craft LV500 that is albino with pink (milk white with pink eyes).  This weird bait would catch fish in stained water like crazy.  I think I bought it on Ebay 10+ years ago.

   Maybe I'm crazy, but it almost seems like there a 14 gazillion shades of white (or off-white) to fish, but only three or four to us. It seems that very subtle gradations of white have made huge differences in productivity on a given day for me, especially when I'm fishing shallow, where the bass can get a real good look at the lure. The two that seem to be most positive are bone and eggshell (sometimes called cream) and the one that is the most negative seems to have been plain ol' snow white.

   This is one of the reasons I came up with my opinion about reflectivity in lures. I don't mean flash. Flash is a different quality. I mean color reflectivity, especially as it relates to contrast. I fish dirty green and muddy waters, and if a lure is too reflective, I get nothing.

   White just gives me the most obvious feedback.

   Oddly enough, the white that is underneath the finish on old Rat-L-Traps, which isn't all that reflective, seems to be one of the best fish-catchin' whites around.

It's called "Sharpie Shark"....'cause that's what I just named it....caught a ton of fish for me a couple days last fall.  Notice that I still can't stay between the lines.  

 

“Sharpie shark custom” makes it sound more expensive.
