I've got another dilemma. I have to tell my wife about every single purchase, of anything, not just fish stuff. I do it because I feel guilty because she just listens and says..'okay'. Then goes back to what she was doing. And on top of that I have to suggest things for her to spend money on because she almost never does. If I bring her home a good cup of coffee, (or kitkat bar, go figure), It's as if I brought home diamonds. I'm lucky that way I guess but it's unnerving in other ways too!

Only way I would spend $25 on a shirt is if it came with a free fishing lure.

She Who Must Be Obeyed made me go and buy some clothes a little while ago. And a pair of shoes.

Why did you have to go buy clothes?  Doesn't she know how to sew?  If not, why can't she learn?

Eh. I think she can sew, but I wouldn't ask her because this isn't little house on the prairie.

And before I get added to the he-man woman haters club, I wanna point out that the only reason I told that story at all is because I'm self-aware enough to recognize how funny it is that I had to be browbeaten into buying some shirts and stuff.

I  was just trying to make joke.  I admit that sometimes my humor is in bad taste.  I apologize if I offended you or any one on this forum.

Don't sweat it. I hadn't checked the thread in a while, and was worried that my joke hadn't landed.

We're good bro.

This past weekend my wife was with me in the boat (she doesn't fish just went since it was a nice day). So I'm going along fishing and got hung up on something, messed with it while trying to get it free but didn't happen. Ended up breaking off and went to grab another one of that same color crank bait and didn't have one. She was giving me crap about all my fishing stuff and not having another, she said I though you bought those things in packs of 5. (just giving me a hard time). So when I got home I ordered 4 of that color and 3 of a different color. They came in yesterday, she looked at me and shook her head.

I was a Manufacturing Engineer & licensed A&P mechanic. I've worked for Boeing, Grumman, Northrop/Grumman, & EADS European Aeronautic Defence and Space (Airbus).

I used to work for Westinghouse Defense (now Northrop/Grumman) in Maryland. First as a lab tech processing integrated circuits and later as an A&P mechanic (the “new” term is AMT lol).

I’ve had this dilemma with hunting and fishing purchases forever. I counter it with purses. If you need 37 purses, I need new baits! Besides, there is no Purse Monkey!

I don't care how funny you think it sounds that emblem DOES NOT stand for Duck Dynasty & never say it out loud in a store!

Hopefully she’s not in Hermès. This is a strap. Just. A. Strap.

LOL. You would think putting a little Ulta nail polish on the threads of a feathered treble was a felony. I'm hoping for an early parole...
