Cold water finesse jig

Featured Replies

Booyah baby boo jig.  3/16oz is dynamite if you can get away with it, and 5/16oz for a little deeper water or if its windy.  The baby boo's have better skirts and hooks than the bitsy bug.

After looking them I'm not impressed with their colors and I have heard of that issues on the hooks out of the box. But ive yet to use one so I can't cast judgement.

So adding to my winter struggle post.   I just got a few 1/4 ounce BiCO finesse jigs. What are you using for jig trailers when water temps are low 40s?

Punisher hair Jig with a Reins Punching Predator Creature Bait trailer.

(I cut 1/2 inch off the head of the trailer for a compact presentation)

Color selection has been lacking for a few years now...not sure why.

Either a Zoom Large Salty Chunk or a Zoom Super Chunk.

Ok so cold clear and still what are you using? The tube has been scratching up a fish or 2 when I go out. Bite been tough and tubes only thing that have been working. Hair jigs and blades can’t get a sniff

TRD Bug, 1/16 or 1/8 jig head, 4# or 6# mono or flouro. Any heavier line greatly reduces bites.

Bear hair jig in 1/8 to 1/4oz with or without a custom poured trailer.
