I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned,  but the best sandwich place on earth is Primanti Bros in Pittsburgh.   This coming from a southern boy who really hates to admit when yankees do a good job on anything (lol)

  • I like Jersey Mike’s. Their #13 The Original Italian is pretty good. But the cheesesteak pales in comparison to a great cheesesteak from any decent hoagie or sub shop in eastern PA, DE, NJ or MD. Mayb

You guys should try a Vietnamese Bahn Mi grilled pork sandwich on a baguette with an iced coffee. Tasty!

  • My company's corporate office and warehouse is right down the street from there on Grand Halstead, and Milwaukee. Have you ever stopped in at Maillards Tavern? It shares the lot with my warehouse

I’ve moved around quite a bit and tend to try and find mom n pops and stay away from the chains.   Growing up in Nebraska I went to Little Kings which was a Subway style place but 100 times better, Schlotzkys which was unique and a local favorite Runza Hut.  When I lived in Kansas City there was no option beyond bbq sandwiches.  I did venture to a biker bar near me that had the best pork tenderloin sandwich I have ever had.  It was called the Pretzel.  When I lived in Massachusetts there was a place called The North End Deli in my town of Plainville that had the best eggplant parmigiana sandwiches on the face of the earth.  I’m still searching here in Virginia.  ?

I saw a show on the travel channel years go about this place. Definitely looks legit.

I had Primanti Bros in Fort Lauderdale of all places for the first time. It was on spring break with a buddy of mine from Pittsburg. Doesn’t matter what one it was - those sandwiches were MAGIC
