What brands do you fish?

Mainstays for me are the VMC Dominator Marabou and the VMC Moon Tail. 

Most of mine are from Andy’s Custom Baits.

my buddy is a hair jig tying aficionado and pretty well known in CT, NY, and other northeastern states for it. if allowed, i can link his instagram!

The late Doug “Skinny “ Harris in Texas was phenomenal.

The late Bills jigs a local jig tier who Iovino used to make his jigs was good.

Well what the heck I've hardly tossed a hair jig but I'll say I've heard some great things about Northstar custom baits hair jigs. 

How do you say that you've read @WRB's recent "Memories, my top 5 giant bass" post without saying that you've read WRB's recent "Memories, my top 5 giant bass" post? Very timely post @roadwarrior!! To be fair though, my last Google search was "Catching big bass on hair jigs" so... yeah. I'm right there with ya! ?

I really like the Cumberland pro lures rock hound, good colors and well made.

 

For something a bit more finesse, the kalins marabou jig is excellent, and wallet friendly. During the winter months, the smallmouth here in ozark rivers love those little jigs. I keep it pretty simple and stick with black or white 

I tie my own, but last year I needed some lighter ones and bought these:

Couldn't believe how well the held up. Very reasonably priced and yet very durable.

mike iovino aka "fishing with weensie" on instagram and facebook. you can find him and more info on his pages. he is a tournament angler and guide here in CT. he ties and sells to a ton of anglers including some pros in the elites and MLF.

Jeff Little of the The Little stuff Youtube has a lot of videos on hair jig and tying. He is a Smallmouth Hammer 

Picasso.  Works great.  Only downside is that they get dirty fast.

My main two are made by Andy's Custom Bass Lures and Outkast Tackle. 

Not sure what size you are thinking about, but Tom reccomended me the spro phat fly and I've been liking them alot, they have caught me bass and crappie, quality is solid ?
