Just utilizing available resources. All legal and all can do it.

There's some shades of gray there...

I'm rooting for Shin or the Milkman but my guess is Wheeler will take it.

I went to the lake yesterday, mainly to make sure the boat was operating properly and everything was working. Decided to fish a for a little bit since I was out there. I promise they are doing better

Pulling for MDJ. But I think Alton could be a sneaky one to watch

I have to go with Wheeler as well. 5 wins, and then winning the knockout round yesterday. It is hard to bet against that momentum.

Some different strategies going on to start the day. Who will be on them first, the FFS guys or running the bank.

Weeeeeeelllllll, maybe they will all be 8 lbers :)

With the looks of it, today may be tough until the afternoon. I wonder if it will be a crazy last 45 minutes, where the score tracker is just lighting up. That would be exciting to see.

MDJ starts the day with a 4lbr

Wow ~

Seems I didn't miss a whole lot.

Sort of surprised.

11-3 seems to be the hot time around here in the winter.

Betting for wheeler is like betting for Tom Brady being in the super bowl, odds are good!

I don't consider myself good at skipping, average at best. But these guys blow my mind. I have to concentrate just to make a good cast and get it where I want it when skipping. They make it look so effortless.

All the BASS fanboys should be enjoy this tourney.  It's been quality over quantity.  Wheeler was averaging almost 5lbs a bass.

Don't confuse my utter disdain for the mlf organization and some of it's leadership as a dislike of the angler's. I have friends that fish the bpt and whatever it is that mlf calls the former FLW trail. Like @TnRiver46, I too dislike the format.  All of that said, congratulations to the angler's that are catching big one's.

BB is loaded with so much visible cover, everything 'looks good'.

Pretty obvious at this point, that's not the case.

I do not have a ton of experience fishing that type of deal.

However I think I remember @Catt mentioning a time or two

that when approaching conditions it often pays off ignore the cover & fish the structure.

Maybe start by finding some hard bottom and go from there.

Either way, not sure how much more of this I can endure.

Very slow start to the morning, with very few fish caught.

Some guys are ignoring the 10,000 wood targets, instead trying to find some grass, etc

However, MDJ is leading, and he's finding fish on wood in 5ft of water. 10ft he got no bites.

He also said bites are very soft.

Water 18 inches viz, 50F.

I'm not thinking pre-spawn has even fully activated yet.

Should be an interesting day, very slow start, but maybe it will pick up later in the day like @GReb says.
