Woke up to -4 this morning little bit of some snow to finish the weekend - but it gets better this next week for us...

We should start seeing the snow-pack diminish and some melting of the lake ice this coming week.

 

It was high 60s here yesterday, caught fish. Today 5.5” of snow and fast winds, low of 14 tonight

Same here, except 1/2 the snow. Fish had already started moving shallow and were biting moving baits for me, I'll probably be out Monday to see what they want. That is some clear water.

I’ll take the cold, I’ll take the snow, dagnabbit, I don’t like rain, lol.

 

This is a snapshot of Seattle weather right now. Past couple days we’ve been waking up to around mid 30s and warm up to just need a hoodie. 

I need to hurry up too. Looks than 2 weeks left to catch a bass in the winter. ?

Yup. 46 days until bass season closes here. Very few breaks here lately. Brrrr.

Made me think of this ol skit. LOL.

 

Sunny days and light south breeze are always nice to be out. 

But if you do the math, it takes more than a few of those to warm up a large water body. 

Yesterday here in the Chicago suburbs….wind chill was sub-zero most of the morning. Coldest St Patty’s Day parade ever.

 

This morning we are right at 40 with a high in the upper 50’s and sun. Most of the next 10 days lows will be above freezing with daytime highs in the 50’s and 60’s.

 

Heading out to find some biggun’s shortly!

look at it this way, it's a lot easier than trying to describe the world by feely. 

 

E.g., the difference between a parabolic rod taper and a progressive rod taper - with more weight, the progressive taper loads a band moving progressively down the rod; while with more weight, the para taper loads more of the total rod length. 

I know a cane rod builder who describes a para taper as having a certain "twitch"
