@ATA and I'm sure others, do a diy rig that looks real effective for big baits.

Either the Plano Edge Deep 3700 or the Flambeau Zerust 5012.  I have the Flambeau and it's not bad but both of them will fill up quick.  I have seen one guy at local lake use a Christmas bulb box with desiccants inside but the box was really big.  It was great for a boat but not something you want to lug around.

Instead of spending a ton on Edge boxes, you can just get silica gel packets off Amazon and throw a few in your boxes.

That's what I do - only Edge boxes I have were gifts...rest of my boxes are either ProLatch or Elite series.

I'm sure the Edge boxes are awesome. But the Pro Latch with the small gel packets work perfectly for me. I still try to let my baits air dry before I put them away tho, just to be sure. I never have any rust issues. The Edge boxes are just so expensive, you get a bunch of them and it can add up. Not to mention the weight of them.

I will say, tho I am a Plano guy, I do have a few of the Flambeau Zerust Max Waterproof Tuff Tainer boxes which are quite nice.

I don't know about the best, but the worst without a doubt is that Flambeau spinnerbait Leggo thing that I got for Christmas. Did one of the product managers let their 7 year old design that thing? I couldn't even figure out how they would go in there, and the guy pitching it on YT had a hard time too. I pulled on all my thespian chops I could muster when I unwrapped it, but I knew I'd failed, when my wife kept repeating "It was really cheap, it was on sale". So now I have a waterproof shoebox once I get rid of all the spacers, which I certainly will.

For 8" plus Glides, I would go with :

https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Eye_Surrender_Pocketed_Bait_Wraps/descpage-ESPW.html

they are very easy to use and carry around, Even you can just pick the  small size and have four to eight glides in it and hit the water.

It is not Anti Rust, But did you notice the Napkin in lower section? Easy fix. You dont want to put this glides in any Boxes, I dont care what it is, you need to have air flow to get them dry after use. If you actually use them(Like I do), You'll notice even after you think they are fully dry, They are not and they will leak up to next day :)

Plano edge? I need something with large compartments where I can put large 8" swimbaits.

Air circulation prevents corrosion.

Big soft swimbaits with boot type swimming tails shouldn’t be laid flat they should hang  down by the hook eye.

Hard big swimbaits lure wraps are OK if it’s not air tight. Hard lures can be laid flat in large compartment swimbait boxes, again not air tight.
