LMAO, silly rabbit, this is a LMB fishing site (allegedly) :) , but to answer your question, when true C-rigging, and not a lighter version of it with it's varying names (cause ya'll can't help yourselves) 20 lb mono and 12-20 lb of the same thing working end.

22lb Sunline Structure or 20 Seaguar Abrazx to a 12lb YZH leader

12 to 17 lb test . I dont fish a C-rig in heavy cover , so dont need heavy test . I dont have a dedicated Carolina rod so just use either my worm rod which is 7 foot hvy with 17 lb test . or a 7 foot mh with lighter line . If using 17 lb test or 15 lb test I go with a 12 lb leader .

15lb big game to 12lb big game is what I went with since both are readily available for me. Maybe a 3ft leader and a 7’3” heavy. Should work good I think

That dog will hunt!

Many times I’ve used the same line for main as the leader, 20 or 17 mono. It’s usually deep and muddy, probably not much light getting down there to the bottom

anything to shorten the time of rigging when it comes to Carolina

I use Carolina keepers rather than the swivel/leader deal. Straight 14 lb. Flouro.

#30 Yo Zuri Super Braid to a #10 to 15  Seaguar Basix Flourocarbon Leader(testing it out this season anyway).  Mine is more of a heavy mojo rig though.  Bobber stops, bullet or cylinder weight, glass bead, more bobber stops.

I like to keep my knots to a minimum.
