Favorite inline spinners

I haven't used a spinner since I was a kid. But I've been wanting to get a few for smallie fishing. Are Mepps still #1? What are your guys' favorites? Sizes etc?

Thanks!

That's the one with the baitfish on it, yes? I definitely had one of those back in the day.

In-line for Smallies; Panther Martin fire tiger and Blue Fox Minnow spin in fire tiger.

Blue fox Vibrax # 1-5 with #3 my favorite,  Mepps Aglia #1-5  On days the French blades don't work try a Panther Martin they get down deeper, and have a unique vibration. Any color of body or blades work.  I prefer gold blades, but have caught bass on sliver or colored blades too.

I like Mepps in sizes 2 to 5. Dressed or no dressing. Black fury with yellow dots can be excellent in low light, light rain conditions.

I’ll use Mepps Aglia’s and Worden’s Rooster Tails if I want switch up the retrieve or vibration. But my personal go to on the rivers for smallies around me will almost always be a Shyster. Something about the ripples/wave pattern in the blades......they thump and the smallmouth hammer them! Also forgot to mention I’m usually throwing 3/8 to 1/2 oz Shysters.

Edit: updated post for weights to be listed.

The new Mepps bronze slammer ?

Hmm...Mepps, Blue Fox, Rooster Tail, CP Swing, I imagine any of them would catch fish on a given day.

They look good but $10 is $10 ... personally anything with a comet blade which includes traditional comets with the fish, black furys, older comets without the fish.

Dressed #3 yellow dot black fury if i could only have 1

I make my own, but Mepps, Blue Fox, Rooster Tails, and most others all catch fish, oh, always use a bb swivel... :)

My favorite is a 1/16 white Rooster Tail fished on the UL rig.

Mepps and Bluefox are better than Roostertails in my experience.  they start spinning easier and quicker
