MLF Stage 1 Kissimmee

Featured Replies

Well the new 5 fish limit is live starting today with MLF.  So far so good in my opinion. Shin Fukae has an 8lber already.

A lot of the anglers have mentioned they are a fan of the 5 fish limit.

Looks like Wheeler is good regardless of the format.  Weird.

It’s almost like he fished 5 biggest bass tournaments for 20 years before 2019………

If you can catch them, you can catch them. We fished biggest single fish kill tournaments in the salt and did well with that, and then a 2 fish slot limit keep alive and release tournament came along, cashed their checks too. I just wish they had big $ pickerel tournaments... :)

yeah he won a forest wood cup $1 million prize fishing for 5, I think he’s going to win no matter what the rule change

Yeah, he seems to be able to adapt well, some guys have that. I wonder if he can do it on a bad ankle...

Congrats to the top ten ~

Heck of battle right to the end.

And I do mean The Very End !

MLF could not have planned that one any better

switching to the 'new format'.

See how tomorrow goes but that was fun.

I have to say the new scoring system worked extremely well for the first tournament.  It’s a much better test of angler skill and certainly wasn’t any less exciting.  Congratulations Chris.

Agree.
According to Marty Stone, Chris would have won in the old format based on his total weight of fish caught.

Watched the whole Championship day (Yesterday)on my PC and enjoyed the format and the exciting finish.

Chris did not even know he one when they went "Lines out" in the third.

Great tournament.  Great action. Big names, exciting finish.
