Have a daiwa cc80..12lb mono 110yds

14lb mono 100yds.. Was thinking either sunline defier amrillo 17lb.. Seaguar ivisix 15lb.. Just not sure 

That can't be answered unless we know what baits you intend to throw.   

 

Mono for moving baits like cranks, fluoro for so many things in my book, amrillo which is really hi end mono so I'd reserve it for special applications like big swimbaits, deep cranking.   

 

Really you need to define more parameters.   Rod, lures, things of that nature.   

Stren Magnathin for everything. Been using it for maybe 30 years it seems. I try other brands and types once in a while, but always go back to Magnathin.

I like Sufix Siege mono in smoke green color in 12 pound test for baitcasting gear 

That Suffix Siege is strong stuff. I pert neert busted a gut trying to break off 12#.

Even the lighter test weights are strong. Out crappie fishing, couldn't loosen a snag so pulled to snap off...took quite a bit of strength to get it to break, and that was with 6# test.

 

Siege is my mono of choice...

I think 15lb fluoro is a good middle ground size for those baits and techniques. Bottom contact baits are where fluoro really shines so that's what I would go with. I am partial to Sunline Sniper but a lot of people really like Invizx.

second this, high quality 15lb fluoro is really strong, I like the Sniper too, and if I can deal with a thicker diameter, I think the P Line Ulitmate Fluoro is even stronger.  

 

With mono you're going to get more stretch than you want with those techniques.   Braid is an option, but that's not my lane.

Well... put your signal on and come on over. Throwing 2 pounders clean over the boat is a hoot. ?

A lightweight composite frame reel may not be strong enough to braid. 

FC line isn’t inexpensive and requires TLC (line lubrication treatments like KVD, also pricy) to manage the so it lays on the spool without a backlash.

Considering the price of this reel an excellent mono line like Berkley 12# .014D Big Game (green) should ideal for your CC80 and inexpensive @ $10 for+1,200 yd spool

Use cheap mono, check it for nicks, and re tie often.  Change is often too.    I use 12 pound mono (Trilene XL) for all but 1 of my combos.   It's plenty strong as long as it's fresh, and you take care of it.
