I use Screamer* on 1/8 oz dart head jig year around and 10” Power worms at night.

Didn’t we just do this? But yes I do, if you consider the zoom ol monster a ribbon tail. I’m in Florida as well, so that changes things depending on where you are.

Yep fun to throw and catches them

Don’t use worms of any kind after September here in Wisconsin

My fishing buddy pretty fishes them all the time and unfortunately, the bite for it comes and goes. I can out fish him with a senko pretty much anytime. He will catch fish on it though. I just wish he would switch up when the bite stops.

The best times seem to be in early spring and for a few weeks during the summer.  The rest of the year seems hit and miss or just dead.

Yes, but I don't fish them much anymore.  I think how fast or slow you work them is key.  Keep meaning to put one on a shakey head.

I kept one tied on, and on deck, all the time….. all year.
They work all year-round here.

Screamers are 3 1/2” ribbon tails👍

Although I love ribbon tails, for me they have a time and place. Cold water, under 40 degrees, is not one of those times. I will downsize to a 4in. finesse, or a french fry and I will use a split shot, or drop shot to present it. The only time I'm able to do this is just after ice out and I won't go to a ribbon tail until the water is pushing 50. From then until the lakes close, I'll be throwing one on a T or C-Rig

Screamer is called a Screamer because the ribbon tail is thin with fast swimming action the soft plastic slowly forward in cold water.

I don’t fish it exclusively but fish a Ribbon Tail all season. I was out lake fishing Saturday and got a bass on a ribbon tail. Will be out Thursday in the same area and without a doubt will be fishing one for a period of time. Fish all soft plastics at this time.
