Shuffield is the only one using FFS in period 3.  He did well with it yesterday in the 3rd period.  Today he's caught all his fish in the 3rd period the same way he caught them in the 2nd so I assume scoping is not working for him today.

He is THE ONLY angler in this last period using FFS.

And he is THE ONLY ANGLER they are covering.

IMO, TOTALLY DEFEATS the purpose of the new format.

I will say that it's wildly hysterical seeing the FFS guys demeanor

and body language during their non FFS use periods.

They seem totally defeated and are fishing like it's a waste of time.

Imagine, fishing when you can't actually see the fish in front of you ?

"Oh the humanity ! "

Or, maybe it's just me

It's not just you A-Jay, I said yesterday or the first day how noticeable the angler's excitement level was when they caught a fish without it.   Almost like you could sense their huge relief.

This is why many people including myself believe we're handicapping a whole generation of Bass anglers with this technology.   Imagine an 18-22yr old who has never known a Bass universe without FFS.

Been away all day fishing, but I come home to see Jacob Wheeler back in 2nd place.   Dude really is the greatest Bass angler alive.

Yesterday Shuffield caught 8-11 in the first two periods then caught 46-7 in the 3rd to move into 2nd place.  That's why they're covering him so closely.  Most of the guys near the top have nothing to fish for at this point so it's about the guys trying to make the cut.

Agreed.

Mr Wheeler is clearly the reel deal.

Been a Rockstar well before this newest era of electronics.  I expect him to TOTALLY DOMINTE now.  The reasons are obvious at this point.  The Derbies are teaching the next generation of bass anglers, that fishing without FFS is just a waste of time.

Finally, and I hate to even reference this, but it sure looks like Candy Randy was right from the beginning.  Now please excuse me while I go slap myself really hard in the face.

Fair enough.

But I'm still sad watching and especially listening to his babble.

I wish him the best of luck and applaud his strategy.

I was hoping for a better viewer experience.

I could have sworn they said Faircloth before P2 ended. But Faircloth is doing well without it.  Shuffield is catching dinks.

That’s the problem. It’s filtered down into the weekly Tuesday night league. You show up at the ramp and the other 12 rigs look straight out of something like this. It’s one thing to see pros in a technology arms race. It’s a whole different setting when you see it at your local lake.

Shuffield ran into some better fish in the end.

I really don't care for FFS but that was interesting. I'll probably watch the final round tomorrow.

They limited FFS but it's still all anyone is talking about.

Use it or don't use it, like or don't like it.... Regardless, it's completely taken over the narrative of bass fishing.

FFS separated the field the first 3 days. The guys who caught them on it the best easily advanced. I think that changes tomorrow because most all of the top 10 will probably catch about the same weight on FFS. The other two periods will be the difference maker

I very interested, and tuning into some of this for the first time ever. I think it’s a great concept. It really shows how much of an advantage FFS  is. Guys had most their fish during that one period. Still feel it’s a good step foward. And even though less fish without it, I feel it did show that some guys are great regardless. But still , way less fish without it

My interest level in watching this stuff skyrockets when they show the sonar screen.  A picture of the angler’s behind might give you some idea how much he exercises but tells you very little about how he's fishing.  This screen conveys so much information that is fascinating to me.  Depth,  cover,  structure, temperature,  baitfish and so much more.

Well yeah, this is a thread about a tournament in the forum about tournament fishing.

A large portion of the overall bass fishing narrative is influenced in one way or another by tournament fishing.

This Jacob Wall has a good head on his shoulders.

He had the most weight caught of anyone in the non FFS periods.

He’s gonna be hard to beat but anything can happen in this sport.

80 minutes of fishing time left.

Can Justin Cooper hang on for the win ?

Or will Cody Miller, Jacob Wall or Jacob Wheelers run him down ?

Lastly Justin Lucas only needs 2 World Record Bass to go from Zero to Hero.

Wall making that move to the dock with Magdraft was cool. Picked up two keepers and then a third on a creature bait. Kid can fish.  Really good sport today.

100% seeing the screen makes it more interesting than watching a guy flip a jig into the 500th flooded bush.

Scoretracker is ahead of the live feed.

So it's already over.

Justin Cooper was able to hold off the charge of the sticks chasing him

and hang on for the win.

Congrats to him on his first win.

That was decent.
