So I did a search and found a lot of older articles and posts. But as I build out my bank fishing bag. I’m debating trying a 3600 Plano with just the baits I need for a trip. Thoughts and advice? 

All of my soft plastics are in boxes unless it is a bait that I might want to try and not give up space in my box from something I know I will throw.  I do understand bank fishing limits your carrying ability. 

Love it! Years ago when I was starting out fishing I used boxes. But I’m busier in life now and making my set up fast and easy for quick trips. And have a box so I was considering trying it again. Love your set up 

The box with the Senkos is 2 sided so I have another side for different size Senkos.  I also have a Ned rig plastics box that has both the heads and the baits in it. 

Very nice! What I’m considering doing is a Plano 3600 and putting baits by color. Pairing different baits of the same color in a spot. So I can maximize what I carry in a small sling pack  

Simms dry creek gear bag is my favorite.

I keep everything in the bag except for swimbaits. I keep them in a 3700 tray.

I leave them in the bags. I'd never remember their name, size, COLOR, etc.

I keep all my plastics in the original bag

Original bag or replacement laminated bag- then those in either 3607-10 or 3707 open compartment boxes.

 

For most plastics, a Plano box is fine. Just do not mix colors/brands; some kinds of plastic do not play nice with each other and will destroy both baits, and colors tend to bleed over.

Same here ... 

When I'm walking the bank I only carry 3 or 4 of each plastic bait.  The entire bag of plastics take up too much space, and adds extra weight.  When I get back home I put the baits back into their bags.

What do You use as bags when on the bank? I’ve mixed same colors with some. Say 5 inch flukes and 4 inch flukes for trailers in the same bag 3-4 of each and leave the rest at home

 

In the  bags. Handy just to stick a bag of flukes or stick baits in my back pocket when fishing for just a little while.

I like the plane speed bag and leave them the original packaging 

I store mine in my car, where they will melt that way I have an excuse to buy more.

I like to mix certain soft plastics and let them bleed over. I have a specific slot just for pink zoom super flukes and black stick worms from Amazon. It’s some trial by fire to see which baits can play nice. I keep almost everything in box’s.

I take them out of the bags and just put them in the 3600 boxes.  I move the dividers around as I need them.

That’s really what I may end up doing several of similar color baits but different styles in one row and such. I basically only fish some kind of watermelon reddish and black and blue or June bug. So I basically group flukes, ribbon tails and stick baits of similar color in a bag anyway
