  • Lot's of channels mentioned already, some multiple times.  But not one word about the Bassresource YouTube channel.   I have some serious changes to make.

NDYak Angler!!! Both for my enjoyment as well as for the growth of fishing on the internet. A lot of the viral muskie catches you see on instagram and other social media are from his channel.

I don't watch him for his anti-ffs views.

I kind of liked his channel when it first came out. But now he just annoys me. Big-time hypocrite who does stuff now he used to bash other channels for doing (TW links in description etc).

He'll address people who say he's hating on the young guys/scopers, saying he has no issue with them at all. But then the next video calls them flat-brimmers using their cheater box who couldn't catch a fish without it if their lives depended on it. He likes to talk out of both sides of his mouth.

Some of his hot takes are just that. Says stupid stuff to get people talking/get views, like Skip Bayless and the talking heads on ESPN.

I don't know, he just comes across as very negative and a know-it-all because he's been "fishing tournaments for 40 years" or whatever he says when he's reminding everyone of how knowledgeable he is.

This is just my opinion, of course.

I'm partial to G-Man, but Hack does place up there.

An opinion I share - I avoid Randy as much as possible.

I could listen to Hackney talk all day.

I agree greg hackney and Seth fieder.

Seth fieder

Seth is a no-brainer for me. Most of his off-season vids are shot on the lake I live by and fish regularly.

I noticed some of that. But it's obvious he knows how to fish.

I pretty much share his opinion on FFS. I am opposed to it all the way around. I see it as akin to shooting deer off a feeder.

I digress, I don't watch his FFS rant videos because I am focusing on becoming a better angler.

Randy B. is too dumb to realize if he got his way, and they did ban FFS, he'd have nothing to talk about and his channel would take a huge hit.

I have challenged him to put his money where his mouth is and get rid of all of his graphs, since anyone could consider those a form of cheating as well.

So true!

That is the only subject I agree with RB on and only because it seems to be changing fishing from "fishing" to an arcade game.

That's about the same thing that I remember hearing when the first LCD sonars came out late 70s/early 80s

I'm sure Tom ( @WRB ) can tell similar stories when Lowrance and Vexilar put out the first flashers in the late 50s/ early 60s.

Every time there's a leap in fishing electronics - there's nay-sayers saying how it's gonna ruin fishing.

I started out with Lowrance's green box. It was not the same as FFS. And the green box was helpful but not a big advantage.

I have a 12" FFS capable Lowrance. I was going to dive in deep and was just waiting for the transducer. The more I watched and learned the more I realized it was not a way I wanted to fish with my face buried in a LCD screen. I cancelled the transducer.

Like I said. I want to fish not play video games. If your OK with that then have fun.

If I had the money - I had to finance my Echomap 93sv over 2 years...no way I could afford to add FFS to that in the time I have left.

I'd figure that was a no brainer - considering a certain Lake Commandos episode 😁

edit the show from what? 7 hours?  down to about 35 minutes

You can change the speed of the video, I watch most videos at 1.5x now, sometimes 2x if they're a bass fishing channel from the south, southwest, or west coast, then it just sounds either normal speed or just a little fast.

@Glenn I've been watching your channel since I was like 19 off and on. Stalked the forums off and on for a while. I'll definitely say for a channel with as much info as yours and for how long you've had the channel you should definitely have nore of a following.

But I think you're right, it's the mustache. Young guys can't stick around long enough to realize they should sub, old heads don't think you have anything new to share.

Yeah, became very banal

Yup

Also I forgot to mention, or maybe it didn't wanna share the goods, but Low Brow Fishing drops lil gold nuggets often, deep cuts not another "BEST KEPT bladed jig SECRET THAT ALWAYS CATCHES 10 POUNDERS"... wiggle it... why'd I waste 23 minutes waiting for you to tell me to wiggle it, just heard that from that other guy!?!

Low brow says things that costs pros money

To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of FFS. But it's out there and available, so I'm not gonna bash anyone for using it. Especially tournament anglers where their livelihood is on the line.

I wonder if Randy's wife knows of this device he has access to but refuses to use, that could potentially put more food on the table. Haha. There is the whole principle thing though, so I'll give some props for standing on that.

These are the only people we should bash for it, as well as tournament organizers who don't care about the sport and only care about the money, but I get that. That's the American way, destroy and reap the rewards, salt the earth so nothing grows and say you've conquered.

Seriously think about it, if every boat just had 4-6 lines out trolling around "finding fish" would you call that competitive professional bass angling?

Ffs is the same as trolling, it takes the fishing out of finding fish and neither belong in any tournament level competition.

You just out their on your own looking for a PB, go for it.

A friend of mine once said FFS takes the "professional" out of professional fishing... I'd like to see it some but not a scopefest for every event. Like I've said before I think MLF made the most out of what they had with their decision to regulate it to one period a day. I'm pretty OK with that. Funny part is since that new format I have seen quite a few guys struggle for two periods and then fill a limit when they turn on the scope.

Lynn Dollar 😉

Yup, that’s the good ole films, brings back old memories. When the circuit was at its best.

I have more than a couple guides that I follow on Guntersville, Kentucky, Cumberland and Fork. Some are email updates on lake activity. I’d rather read than view but I do watch a little. Mostly thou reading is my thing..

I should also add that anything with Al Lindner is good.

He's a legend to me.

The Angling Edge is a good show even though it's mostly an infomercial like all the other channels.
