Rebel Craws?

Featured Replies

I have 2 Rebel craw cranks. One I was blessed with, and another I was blessed to find. I've caught some fish on both. Not a huge amount because I don't fish them that much.

I've always felt they were cheap lures and not paid much attention to them.

Anyone here love them? Anyone know of any pros that actually use them?

Been using them for years.

I used to use them a lot about 20+ years ago as they were a lure I had in my tackle box from when I was a young kid and just getting back into fishing, I know I have 1 or  2 currently and I should try them again next season as I  caught bluegill, crappie and bass in the retention pond where I lived back then. Mine were/are the “wee-r” if I’m remembering the name correctly.

I have 3-4, I shelved mine in the “don’t work for me” years ago.

Never caught a single largemouth on one but I have been fishing ultralight tackle this winter a lot so far and may give them a go when the jig minnow isn’t working.

The two smaller sizes were top producers for me when I wade fished for Smallmouth;  one color shined above the rest, don't remember the name.  Probably have at least a dozen asst. in the garage;  not used since I relocated.

The small ultralight size Rebel craw will catch everything. I use a light spin rod with four pound line. I use the standard brown craw colors, and have caught many bass and panfish on these baits.

I have 8 or 9 that I have found, but I have never used them.  Sounds like I need to put on some hooks and give them a try.

The 2” Wee Craw in mud brown works good for Smallmouth bass.
