weight transfer system and great casting crankbaits

I dont have many newer baits because I have so many old ones that still work and catch fish . Now that winter is here and fishing is over, I think about how to fish  the upcoming season. I plan on targeting more standing timber next year and looking for a great casting smallish squarebill. What are some great casting small baits say 1/4 to 3/8 oz that I will be able to roll cast accurately?

Megabass super Z1, that lbo weight transfer is no joke they cast like bullets.

Looks like this might be the one. Watched some videos and they mention how great this lure cast.

Another vote for the Megabass Z-Cranks. Cast a mile. My favorites in each line..... in the Z-2 Kasumi Ito,  in the Z-1 Frozen Glass, and in the Z-3 Old Z.

It's a little heavier but one of my favorite lures that I discovered this year is the sh-3 from evergreen. Casts like a bullet and and a great choice if you are fishing from the bank and looking to bomb a crankbait out there.

I have the Megabass Z crankbaits and they cast great!

There are many great casting crankbaits made, that aren’t 20-25 dollars apiece. Some people don't care what a bait cost as long as it’s MB or Evergreen etc etc.

Yozuri makes an affordable crankbait

Damiki is South Korean made and they make a very good crankbait that defies the wind and will get you all the distance you need.
LuckyCraft is another company that you can get oftentimes get for under $10 that throw great..

You can spend more if you like but to obtain a crankbait that throws well and catches bass you’ll find plenty available that are more affordable.

BTW, they all will get snagged and lost no matter the price.

I bought all of the aforementioned crankbaits from Tacklewarehouse this year for between 3-5 bucks apiece.
There ya go, affordable crankbaits that cast great. 😉💯

I was going through some of my extra crankbaits , searching for some that may have the weight transfer system and found one. Its the Rebel Bluegill Squarebill. I've never used it. I switched out those stupid barbless hooks for real hooks .

Also, its not a weight transfer system but an old Arbogast Mud Bug has a weight inside the body cavity, and it shifts to the rear during the cast.

TW's 15% off sale starts today, just have to be on their emailing list, makes buying some of these fancy cranks slightly less painful...

I fish the Evergreen CR series, like a couple of the colors and the baits work very well, they have a weight transfer mechanism in them.

Thanks, thats what I want to know. Which baits have a silmilar system. I plan on fishing a lot of 1/4 oz size lures this year . A weight that in the past I have a hard time casting accurately with a low trajectory roll cast. Overhand , no problem. Underhand, I tend to throw 1/2 oz baits.

Used it fot the first time last week. Landed two of the six fish hooked including a big one. The hooks are inadequate.I'm changing those tiny things out. It cast great.

IMO, the Z2 is the special bait out of the Z series. You can still grind it shallow. If you like the Z1, you need to get a Z2. It’s excelled for me in the craw colors.

The Jackall Bling is a pretty small bait and cast really well. The Evergreen Flat Force is also small, although heavier than you're looking for, but one of the nicest casting baits I've fished.
