Tom - WRB - was really proud of this article. I was fortunate enough to have it emailed to me about a month ago. I'm sure he would like you to have it:

I forgot to mention, if you're interested in the original email & PDF (scanned pages from the original magazine), you welcome to it or I can take snippets and post.

Thanks for posting. I was going to ask if there was anyway we could organize all of his articles to be accessible to all members, with the families permission of course. I think it would be a great way to keep his legacy alive on this forum.

Greetings All,

@Jigfishn10Thank You for honoring Tom and sharing his article. That was awesome to be able to read it and appreciate him.

@woolleyfooleyYes, a wonderful suggestion for creation of this desirable archive.

I would love the PDF of these articles. It would give me a lot of information to read this winter.

Tom published two articles that I know of in In-Fisherman Magazine. He referenced the horizontal jigging one above frequently. It appears in volume 20, no. 1, Feb. 1995.

There is another one on trophy bass in California, from issue #64, Dec/Jan 1985-6. I dug it up once -- look at that pic of Young Tom!

Message me your email and I'd be more than happy to pass what Tom sent me back in 22.  It's some hand drawings of his jig and his use of a finesse worm as weed guard to go along with the In-Fisherman article already posted in this thread.

Thanks for posting that article. It was a good read. I've never fished a regular jig quite like he described, but that's almost exactly how I fish a bladed jig along the bottom. The only difference is, I move the bladed jig 2 or 3 full turns at a time.

@Glenn Any chance you think we could figure something like this out?
