Hey guys i was thinking about getting a few mojo rods.I was looking at the 7' and 7'6" rods.What would you compare these rods to? Would you compare them to shimano crucials or powells?

Neither, they are basically the same rod as the St. Croix Premiere only with split grips....

IMO..... that 7'6 mojo in mh is one of the heaviest most unbalanced rods i ever held. i bought a falcon instead. but i absolutley LOVE the 7' mojo

ive put a few hours in on the MOJO rod i have getting the grip to feel like im not going to drop the rod when im making longer casts. the rod its self i like, the grips not so much.

For the price, you cannot find a better rod.  They are lighter, more sensitive than other rods in the price range.  The only upgrade to these rods would be Fuji Guides.   I picked up the spinnerbait rod and absolutely love it.  Planning on buying these for all my rigs.  Only problem is that I cannot find them, all the stores sell out as soon as they get them in stock!

They could benefit from better blanks also but I agree, they do seem to be the best value in that price range (although the Premier isn't bad either considering its basically the same rod but without the weird purple color or split grips)

totally agree.  i shopped around A LOT when i bought my last rod and for the price i really feel like i got the best possible rod.

I have a 6'6"M, 7 MHF, and just bought a 7' MHM today. They are great rods for the money.

Got the 6'6" topwater/jerk bait rod and love it.  Use it for just about everything now.  Really like it it's light weight and action and think its a great rod for the money.

i got one a 7' mh casting and i cant really tell the difference between it or my tourny legends.good rod for 90 bucks, that my tourny and carrot stick are among my favs,if your still shopping around i just snagged some of the new okuma c3 carbon rods there $150 look amazing and have a split grip but instead of cork or eva they got some carbon fiber that when wet it feels like tacky silk in your hands feels neat and betters your grip and they got a lifetime warranty.but anywho good luck on your choice.

I also bought one for $76, but these rods are now on backorder until July 8.  I spoke to a guy at TW and he said that St Croix didn't really expect a rod with a price point sub $100 to sell so well.  He said St Croix is struggling to keep up with demand.  Additionally, the TW guy said that he'd expect a bunch of new alternatives from other manufacturers in the very near future to be competitive with the Mojo at the sub $100 price point.

Just picked up another Mojo Bass Rod, 7' Med Fast Action for fishing my Rage Tails!  Can't Wait to use her!

so what it would make it so that your average middle man or person who cant afford much with this economy atleast be able to hold onto and fish with a top brand and be able to say they own one (might not mean anything to you or be crap/garbage to you) but to that guy it would be gold...nuff said!!!!

I don't really get it...unless the status of owning a G. Loomis label means more than the quality that G. Loomis is.  It wouldn't be the same status if it was accessible to anyone with $100.  There are PLENTY of EXCELLENT rods at the $100 price point, some are made by some big name brands.  Just get the best gear that you can afford, and make sure it feels comfortable to you.  Don't ignore things like brand, especially when it comes to warranty, but don't count the name as your #1 motivation to buy.

didnt meant it to be a label or anything ya know just some guys would love to have a loomis or st.croix and will never have a chance to due to prices but with lower models it can be possible i mean add 50 bucks to that 100 and you can get a carrot stick one of the fastest growing most popular rods out there these days that everyone is raving about and is giving the 300 rods a run for their money i love that rod over all my other higher end rods.

And a few more weeks and you get a IMX and then a few more and eventually your at a GLX. Its like the drinks at 7/11, well the small is 50 cents, but a medium is only 60 cents, and a large is only 70 cents, and the X Large is 80 cents. Until you're at the big gulp for $1.29. They getcha everytime. I started looking at Mojo bass, then looked at Carrot Sticks and then Settled on my Avid. I am sure if my bank account wasnt running dry I would at least have an IMX.

but why do they want the "top brands"? Because they have a reputation that goes with them. But if those top brands started selling rods like the ones that every other company makes, they be more accessible to more anglers but they also quickly lose that reputation and become like every other company, thus defeating the whole purpose...

The more read this sight the more lower middle class i feel. I am beginning to think I am one of the few people on this forum that doesn't have a six figure salary. Thank you to roadwarrior for sugesting a house brand rod to go with the symmetre in a recent post, that makes me feel a little better.
