I'm sorry, but unless you had AADD, you would have no idea.... I do that to my own threads just as often. And BTW, I believe it was a mod who first mentioned trucks.

Anyway, "value" or "worth" is such a subjective thing. Would a Bugatti Veyron be worth $1.5 million to you ? Not me. But if I were a bazillionaire and loved cars, sure ! Why not

Like I told Steezy in a PM, I'd be afraid to even try one of those $500 reels, for fear I might like it too much ! 

On the other hand, I still believe I will catch as many, and as big of fish with my cheaper reels.

So, their you are. Is "any" response from me, still considered a catch ?  :

I understand where Chris is coming from. I cannot afford $500 reels,nor do i have the desire to fish one because of it. I limit myself to $150 sub par reels and even try to find deals on $200 that'll fit my budget even if it is last year's models.

I believe the steez is probably worth it....After all i do love the daiwa reels i do have.

I buy the fishing stuff I want. I suspect everyone else does the same.

I agree that using a very nice reel or rod can definitely spoil a person for life.  If I bought a $1,000 rod/reel combo it would have to come with a "force field" for protection.

There's definitely something to be said for vehicles (and equipment) that you can use without worrying about what they'd cost to replace, or whether they'll still be there when you get back to the boat ramp/launch.

Ummm, I actually do care about whether that 22-year old car is there when I get back from fishing - that car is our "new" car, our primary transportation - our other car is the "old" car at 38 years old ! ;D ;D ;D

IMPO, trollers typically come from out of nowhere. Nobody knows them. And they usually will be directly abusive or negative towards 1 or more persons in a thread.
