Who do you go to for reel repair?

Featured Replies

I just got a Daiwa TD-ito 103m (zillion) that needs a complete rebuild. One of the springs came loose and caused a few gears to get chewed up. The previous owner took it apart and now there might be a few things missing.

I'm wondering if theres anyone or any place out there that could rebuild it with a zillion high speed gear set, supertune and clean it for me?

I've emailed the alabama reel medic but didn't get a reply, also tried to send one to D.R. but the e-mail form oh his site doesn't work at the moment. :;)

I also would say Delaware tackle. I sent a box of reels to him after a fire and he got them fishing ready for me quickly.

Heard horror stories about Alabama Reel Medic. I actually think some have been scammed on this forum. I have not used DVT, but they are trusted and get great reviews by other members. I'd send mine there if I didn't do it myself.

Uhhh, I would get it back.  Do some homework on that guy, and get it to DVT Mike (our sponsor).  Seriously.

Try sending Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle an email and see how quickly you get a reply. He will not leave you hanging. Also, like RW said, he's a site sponsor. Soon, I plan to send more business his way; not just because he did great work in a timely manner at a good value, but because of his customer service. I contacted DVT based on his site sponsorship and word of mouth on the board. He earned my business by the manner in which he treated me and my reels.

Whets
