4.80, and it WAS on a Ned :)

I'm looking for that 5+. I have 3 to my credit now that all rang up a 5 pounds even (what are the odds??). 2 from Milford, 1 from Melvern. A LC Slender Pointer 97MR in Chartreuse Shad, Zoom Trick worm in Watermelon/gold flake on a pro slider head, and a LC Fat BDS Zero in American shad each claimed one. The one from Melvern ate the Fat BDS Zero, which is like 1 3/4" long and 1/4oz, not even as big as a Strike King 1.0. I'm guessing she went for it because there wasn't any room for anything else.

I'm fishing Milford next weekend for a tournament/benefit deal and I WILL be looking for those toad Smallies. State record came from Milford at just under 7#  :dazed-7:

Still grinding for that 4+ at 'Vern...

I grew up fishing Milford. I like it better than Melvern because I caught big fish out there without even knowing what I was doing. Plus, the wipers, walleyes, and blue cats are a big bonus.

Fished the Dotte for several hours yesterday, it did not treat us very well. We'd been on the water probably close to 2 hours when I finally caught my first fish in the back of Wilson, but it was a largemouth that might have kept. My next fish about an hour later was a drum  :dazed-7:  Jon was doing pretty decent and the Shhh talking was getting pretty heavy from the front of the boat. I was tossing a Ned out to the first drop on the open water side of the boat when my line jumped on the fall and my hook set was met with a considerable amount of resistance. Shortly after, a stout smallmouth was airborne and there was much scrambling going on in the boat. Having drug my bait through the razor clams for nearly 3 hours at this point and knowing my hook was rusted and bent (I'd forgotten my Ned Heads and dug this one out of the bottom of my bag). I was sure the line would part or the hook would give, turns out my biggest concern should have been my net man  :laugh5: . I believe there was 3 or 4 missed net attempts before it was finally safely in the boat. 19" long makes it my 3rd keeper smallie ever from Wyco but still not very heavy at only 3lb 3oz. It still really made up for my otherwise bad performance.

It picked up a little from there, Ned was the only thing working for me but Jon started catching a few on a French Pearl STX, including a healthy 17" largemouth and a super fat white bass. We also recovered a rod and reel from about 15' up in a tree  :Idontknow:

Nice Smallmouth,  have not been out to Wyco for about two weeks.  Last trip there water was green and I believe lake was in turnover.  Hope to get back out this week.

Beautiful day to be on the water.  Wyco was nice to me today..... several fish over 2# and one went 3.5# and 18 inches.

I use to have one that I got from one of the Wednesday night guys, may still have it. That's the only one I've ever seen.

Jack Baker has them, he mapped the lake a few years back.

Watched the trout stocking at Wyco this afternoon.  There were some nice sized ones came out of that chute.

I took my son out last Thursday after he got out of school. The Jerk bait bite is on. My son had one bass on the Ned and two trout on the dam with it.  I wasn't able to fish any of the north side of the one way road, it was packed with bank fishermen. We did good on the stretch of bank below the Davis Hall, and on the West side from the tower south.

I saw that too. Would be hilarious if it was. Wouldn't put it past the 'dotte.

That pic is not at the dotte.  The dock surface is concrete and all docks at the dotte are wood slat boards.  Also the water is not that deep enough at the ramp close to the dock to completely submerge a truck with a camper shell.
