I've not spoken to Larry yet, but according to this story his son was murdered in Puerto Rico today.  Will try to get a hold of Larry tomorrow.

My condolences to Larry, his wife Marylin and Aaron's sister Melanie.  May he Rest In Peace.

If this is true it is more than tragic. I couldn't even begin to imagine the feelings an emotions they must be going through. Prayers and thoughts sent to larry an his family.

Terrible to hear. I couldn't imagine anything being much worst than losing your child. Can only hope they find whoever shot him.

Brainerd native killed Saturday in Puerto Rico

Brainerd native Aaron James Dahlberg was among 19 people who were violently killed this past weekend in Puerto Rico, according to a story Tuesday in El Nacional, a newspaper in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Dahlberg, 33, a 1996 Brainerd High School graduate, was living in a house in the urbanized University Gardens in Rio Piedras when he was shot in the upper back and his armpit Saturday while he was on his balcony, according to police. Police said the gunman approached Dahlberg and shot him with a .45 caliber pistol then fled.

According to Dahlberg's Facebook page, he currently was working at Purple Desert Services in Phoenix, Ariz., and on Friday he wrote that he was looking into purchasing a condo in Puerto Rico.

Wow, that is just horrible. Hopefully the story of him speaking with his parents at the time was just a rumor... that would make it even tougher to deal with. Prayers out to the Dahlbergs.

Wow, that's aweful.  Life is such a gift & we forget that all too often.  So tragic when life is taken in a blink of an eye.  My prayers go out to the Dahlberg family.

Geez, that's just horrible Larry seems like such a cool guy. Certainly one of my idols.

Nobody deserves to go through something like this.
