Mike - we are sooooo far ahead of you on this one!  :)

We'll be announcing all the details very soon.  Just need to firm up group reservations, guides, boat reservations, etc.  Just waiting to hear back from a few folks.  Plus we're building a microsite to house all the info.

Patience.... we're still 7 months away.  :)

Hey Mods, Whatever you guys decide, PLEASE don't block reservations for us on the North end of the lake. Although I am by no means an expert, if I were a bass planning to spawn in early April, I would much prefer to spawn in warmer waters to the south.

I'm not an expert either Mike. The weather and lake elevations will dictate what phase a majority of the bass will be doing. Regardless you will be able to access very good fishing and should find fish in all stages. You are correct, the south end of the lake warms up first. The current flows from south to north.

Question for CJ:

Russ asked about the topwater bite in early April.

I said it should be in full swing. What do you think?

Fingers, toes, arms and eyes are crossed......

Hey, just a sidenote, can we start reffering to it as KENTUCKY lake,...not "K-y" Lake?  The abbreviated version is giving me the creeps,....I mean,...we're travelling with 100 guys and a handful of women......

Hey Russ....don't get creeped out....KY folks are gentle....plus you can always fish Lake Barkley.....I do  ;D ;D

RW, the topwater bite might be fair or I won't say that it won't work. From past experience I would be thinking more in terms of t-rig, jigs, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, shallow running crankbaits, lipless cranks, well let's just say that alot of lures have produced this time of year.

Here's a hint: the first season of Ultimate Match Fishing was fished on KENTUCKY Lake this time of year...oh yeah and Barkley too!

Russ, aren't you aware that Kentucky is noted for its Jelly and Jams?  ;D

Man an hour a way from me and i got to work everyday that it will be going on.

How late can I let you guys know? At this time I can only make plans a couple months out. I really would like to be there and meet everyone.

We don't require any notice except for reserved lodging and group dinners. A number of units will be reserved, first come-first served, then you are on your own. Specific details will be posted soon.

Wow.....First off guys i happened to come across the videos of pasts years trips and it go me so excited i just read through all these posts and going through it all. Im so pumped and excited now! I just hope i can go.

Theres only two concerns of mine right now that im aware of yall can sorta help. That is driving, and a boat. More than likely of me driving is a no, my 1981 ford f-100 gets around 10 miles to the gallon and i just aint seeing that happening.

An possibly my friend would be coming with me. So if theres anyone willing to possibly carpool with us? Chipping in for gas, ect... is no problem.

When/if we get there, a boat is our next problem. Possibly someone could allow us on board of their boat? If so we can fallow all direction and are just looking to catch some fish and have a great time! Or if there is boat rentals thats another possiblity.

Btw, i live in the middle of Illinois, im 17 years old, and a die hard fishermen for life! Thanks for EVERYONES HELP! and Thanks so much  moderators and Glen for setting this all up!!!!
