i used a pack of hooks in one day, why? because i lost them to hangups or bad knots, i think the bait monkey is trying to tell me somthing. :-?

oh man, today the bait monkey got me good, i went in to get just some stuff to make a texas rig and it wasnt gonna cost more than ten dollars. well i came out of the store with three new lures, two packs of soft plastics worms, jig heads, bullet weights, and a new spinner bait costing me around 45 dollars.

Yea the bait Monkey is to blame......wonder if its the same monkey on you shoulder telling you not to lip the bass with thumb and finger, or forget grabbin' the net but to swing him into the boat....only to lose the fish!!!

Maybe we need to start a club called 'bait monkeys anonymous'  we can have a number you can call when that monkey starts to climb over your back and starts to whisper.

Deffinition of the Bait Monkey -

A demonic little creature , that will make you spend every last dime you have , on lures , line , etc..... That you do not necesarily need , At times he WILL get you in TROUBLE with your WIFE/GF .  HE is not an easy adversary to git rid of . In order to get rid of the Bait Monkey , You must quit fishing and find another hobby . THERE IS NO OTHER CURE .

My definition of the bait monkey is when you go to the store to get a specific item, say I need 2 packs of 4/0 EWG hooks.  Well as soon as I get into that section and pass all the pretty lures the baitmonkey tells me I could use a few new cranks, then somehow i get the idea i need some 50# braid bc that 30# isnt good enough.  In the end you spent way more then you intended.

But the worst type of bait monkey is the rod/reel bait monkey.  You could have 15 quality rigs to fish and the bait monkey will still convince you that a certain deal is too good to pass up.  Of course once you buy the great deal reel/rod you have to match it with a rod/reel.  And you end up with a combo for your 16th arm.

Recently the bait monkey is making a move into the anglers home.  When making a simple internet purchase of tackle the bait monkey will coerce you into adding a few more lures to make sure you get the most out of the shipping cost.

I think he can hold his breath for a long time too.

He is under the water and keeps wrapping my cranks around submerged cover, limbs, rocks etc. >

It is an evil, evil creature who's powers of persuasion are in a direct inverse proportion to the amount of money you have AND when the wife is feeling the strongest about you having too much fishing gear.  

The BM is most often lurking at sales, on-line and in-store, right after all the bills are paid and the wife says "we have no money do not even think about buying anything for fishing."  Which, of course, the BM automatically reminds that the $250 reel you want is on sale for $199 and that the two nickels in your pocket can go a long, long way when needed.

My monkey bit me so bad in the last two months i have recieved $30 back in Dicks reward club membership... $1 for every point.. 300 points for every $10 back... so as i was looking at this i realized wow $900 really? :-?

I tried to explain to Capitol one it was identiy theft .... they dont know who or what im talking about but they said the remaining ballance should be used for psychiatric help..... I SWEAR THE MONKEY BOUGHT THAT STUFF!
