Creature bait on the JigRig. Matter of fact, I have a video on this catch too.

One of the best tattooed smallies I've ever personally seen. A 4 pounder from Milford Lake Kansas. Maybe not the greatest colored but how can you be mad at a smallmouth with a gut like this? 5 poun

It is kinda of funny but it is hard to find one of those pretty smally pics when you want to. Every lake I fish the smallies have a little different pattern of colors some are really tattooed up and others are not it also seems that the early spring bass have the more brillant markings too!

Here is a live well full of tourney smallmouths and you can see a difference between fish on the same body of water.

Best for this year so far. 6lbs-15oz.

So many great photos everyone. Great to see all of those quality smallies!

my PB is a 7 lb 8 oz caught on Pickwick in Dec of 1997 when I was 18 yo. My partner and I caught 6 smallmouth and 3 largemouth (only had 10 confirmed bass bites all day) that day. The total weight was over 50 lbs for the 9. Great day in the Big Eddy!

Sadly no camera was in the boat and camera phones didn't exist that I knew of. Her image is burned into my brain though. Even if I get alzheimers her image will be one of the last things to leave. I was so nervous while fighting her I almost threw up (seriously).

Dwight, I think you must have taken the 'Fish Chris' school of fish photography :) Had you said all you got was that 9+ lb'er your holding, I'd have probably believed it ! :) LOL

Seriously though, what a chunk ! And hey, with that black birth mark on her tail, you will know you have caught her again, when she really is 9 lbs ! :)

Stay on em' buddy :)

No tattoos at all on this one but I loved the color of it, from Milford Lake Kansas.

SLO_ROLL et al, hope you don't mind me showin' off these two again from this season. The first weighed 5.8 lbs. and was caught the end of April. The second was 6.0 lbs. and a big surprise on my June 9th outing. Both came from Massachusetts waters.
