I have my preferences, but what about your? You can choose more than one!

For you leader guys, check off what you use as mainline.

I'm running 10# mono but I'll be trying a co-poly in the same strength and slightly lower diameter. The goal is to maximize diving depth.

For most treble hooks I am using Yo-Zuri Hybrid, but for jerkbaits, monofilament. Specifically Sunline SuperNatural #12.

Mono, copoly, or flouro. Mono for most topwaters, some jerks and cranks. copoly for the same things at times. Flouro for deep running cranks or jerks.

Copoly (YZ) for me. Not necessarily because it's optimum for all treble hook presentations...but because it's the best balance of performance vs. cost for me. In a cost-no-object world, it would be mono for topwater and high in the water column...and flouro for diving.

I prefer braid for lipless cranks, because im almost always ripping them from weeds in the VA area.

I prefer Yo-Zuri Hybrid for lipped cranks, you can get away with a very low diameter for its strength, and its sensitivity is good.

I prefer a good mono for jerkbaits, Sufix Elite .

And I wont even get into what I like for topwater, because there will be a mass outrage like last time.

Braid for everything.....fluoro leaders if I see a need for one.

Nylon monofilament for topwater and jerkbaits.

Fluorocarbon for crankbaits.

I do use braid (rarely) and copolymer, but not for treble hooked lures.

Topwater = Braid

Crankbaits = Fluoro

Jerkbaits = Fluoro or Braid (prefer braid)

subsurface=flouro for me

topwater=mono or braid

Mono for everything on a baitcaster.

Braid for everything on a spinner.

Lots of votes, let's see some more!

I used to be braid for everything, but now Im on a YoZuri binge.

I use copolymer (CXX) for everything. Works for me.

I voted for nylon mono, because it's what I use most often with treble hook lures, although sometimes I will use braid or braid with a fluoro leader. Last year was my first using fluoro as a leader, and I've never used fluoro as a mainline for anything, although I'm considering trying it this year.

Braid for everything with a Maxima mono leader when needed.

Braid for all with treble hooks lures and FC leader when needed.

An easy answer for me. Mono. I use Trilene XL for everything.
