I am curious what is everyone’s personal best? The longest and heaviest fish I have ever caught was a sand tiger shark while surf fishing in Ocean City MD, roughly 4 feet long and about 40#. This was long time ago and only have a single photo of it, hopefully my parents still have the photo lol.. It drew quite the crowd, I released it in about 4 feet of water. Wasn't like a bass, just a heavy weight, there was another time when I had a 40 min fight with something in the bay, that was pulling our boat the locals tell me it was a sturgeon but I have no clue, line broke.

I like these threads but my PB's arent all that big so I figure I better get mine in before everyone else posts pics of their 10lbers. I don't have any weights on these. The pickerel and the trout are about 16-18 inches and I think the LM went about 15.5.

Largie would be a 7.5 pounder, but about 20 odd years ago I was treated to a deep sea fishing trip where we caught a mess of 4" King Mackerels, among other species. My sister caught a citation false albacore. I don't remember the weight of the King Macs, but they're the longest, and probably heaviest fish I've caught.

Dorado

Marlin(Blue)

Carp(Big Head)

Wahoo

Largie

Brown Trout

Steelhead/Raingbow

And I don't have the picture of my Smallie or Overall.
Smallie was spot on 5lbs, but the picture didn't turn out, and my overall was never officially landed. Fought it for 4hrs 15 mins before both the rod and line broke. HUGE blue marlin, quite possibly a Grander. Was fishing in St. Lucia. Got it up to see the "blue" 3 times and once pretty close to the boat, but it was still very green, and we lost her. Hope she lived.
Right before the line broke.

Lesson learned, always be prepared. The boat we were on did not have the proper equipment for a fish that large. The rods and reels we were using were "tuna grade." Guess you cannot always control what happens in other countries.
