Fishing Vegetation
This question is very broad. You almost have to attack each of the hundreds of types of vegetation separately but I'll try to simplify it a little. To start with I break my weeds down in the two categories. 1. Weeds that my lure can be cleanly ripped out of. 2. Weeds that hang onto my lure. Then I want to know if the weeds have a canopy with lots of open space underneath or are they thick all the way to the bottom. Bass need somewhere to hide. I use this information to help me choose the lures, rods, presentations and techniques that are most effective for the situation.

New for 2010?
This is a great question and one I try to ask myself every year. This year I want to: Learn the flick-shake technique Keep better records Get more organized so when those last minute trips happen I can just grab and run. Continue to work on my finding skills. Crank more

Red Teeth
OK I caught several the week that had red teeth patches. On thing I noticed was that all the ones that had red teeth came from their winter haunts and those that didn't were caught in shallow transition areas.

Red Teeth
The lake I guide on is stocked with feeder trained bass. Almost all they eat are bait fish and soft fish food. I'll have to take some pictures of their mouths each month and join in on this. Could be interesting to use as a comparison.

pH
I don't think that water temperature has a direct effect on Ph but it does have an effect on things that can change the Ph. (Dead plant decay, photosynthesis and so on)

Zoom Swimming Super Fluke

Small lakes chocked w/ timber - Acidic?
"The Book Answer" High Acidity makes it difficult for plankton to grow. Plankton is the beginning of the food chain in a small lake. Without it the fish fry has difficulty finding something to eat during the first few weeks of life. My answer. You will still catch fish there. They may not be in ideal health but you will catch some. If you own the lake there are some things that you can do to fix the problem and there are some things that you can do to work around the problem. The private lake I guide on has a acidity level of 5.0 to 5.2. It's so acidic that it eats the chrome off my spinnerbait blades in just a few hours. But we are growing some awesome bass there because of some innovative thinking by Bob Lusk.

hello (from one of those snobby fly guys...)
Dude, welcome to the best there is. I'm a fly guy to. Grew up tying flies and fly fishing North Georgia and took yearly trips to Henry's Fork and the Snake River with my family. But bass fishing is where it's at. Have you ever caught a 5lb bass on a 5wt. It's something that needs to be experienced once in a trout fisherman's life.

Is this site for sale?
Glenn has been offered over 6 figures for it several times. His answer is always the same. "It's not for sale." Personally, I wouldn't give 5 bucks for it.

Lake Oconee
Oconee is my favorite lake. I've won several tournaments there over the years. First of all you need to know how to fish docks and sea walls. Oconee is a great pattern lake. Once you key in on the deapth and what types of docks they are holding on then you have just about won the battle. PM me and we'll discuss this some more.

Hey Glenn stick this post into the articles section if you like.
Once again you amaze me Chris. It was your help three years ago that got me started with crankbaits and I would go fishing without several boxes of them today. Thanks again bud. We miss you on here.
