Clueless people and their views on "fishing"
In my home lake if you don't have a depthfinder you are screwed. Even if you've been fishing the lake for years you still can run up on a hump in the middle of the lake and then come off of it without a lower unit. It doesn't matter what boat you have a fishfinder is a safety item that is a must.

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that these trips are not expensive. We share expenses and rides and we have dinners at night that help keep the individual cost down. I think I spent a total of 550 bucks on the Guntersville trip. That includes pulling a boat to and from, getting a guide, gas, food, cabin rental and everything else. It's very possible for anyone on a budget to go on this trip. Just start planning now.

Pics of my boat recarpeting job
That looks absolutly amazing. Great job. I hope you haven't mounted the trolling motor yet. Because if you haven't go ahead and take it back to the store and get you a cable steer. Those motors are a pain in the butt. This should explain all the problems with the Power Drive. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1195155298/0

Yea it sucks. I woke up today and put on my shorts and t-shirt. The water temps on my lake is 60 and bass are moving up on the beds so I might go fishing. But I need to go shopping with my wife.

Champ has got his opinion and that's fine. Please excuse his honesty. He is suffering from a classic case of Foot in Mouth disease.

Any bass in there?
Fish that son of a gun. There is bound to be some fish in it. Heck I'd fish a mud puddle if it looked fishy.

What's happening at Clarks Hill?
May should be prime time topwater. The lake is doing fine. It is on it's way up but it is still about 8 or 9 feet low. They extended the ramps at Wildwood while it was down. the fishing has been great for the last two or three weeks. It's shaping up to be a good year. It will be interesting to see how the hydrilla recovers.

Just in case you didn't know. The host is a respected member of this forum. He has helped us out in the past and he is about to do it again. His show isn't supposed to be about a pro angler going fishing. Is supposed to be about a regular guy who likes to fish who goes fishing in very interesting places with regular people. If you want to see a pro fish and push all his sponsors junk then watch something else.
