  1. whats happened with Ruger the last few years? every Ruger firearm i have has been great.
  2. that would be what id look at first.
  3. if he lives close to me 4" is an understatement.
  4. i have a Fuego mounted on a Cabelas Tourney Trail 7' rod. the rod is rated MF MH. i use this set up for lipless cranks, shallow/medium cranks, topwater, flukes, spinnerbaits and if i have too weightless plastics. its a great combo for flukes as well. this is my favorite bank rod/reel.
  5. the Fuego will toss a 4" fluke weightless no problem. if theres not much wind it will handle a #5 shad rap as well. the rod will decide in the end what the reel will and wont toss.
  6. JYHO I'm sure. yup. if you like 7' rods id be careful with the Mojo. JMHO
  7. hes a good guy to have around.
  8. my old man has kicked my tail more than once in the back of the boat with the ThinFin. he likes #4
  9. youre going to like that.
  10. have you fished with the Mojo? im getting used to the grip but still dont like the balance. im wondering if the Legend is better.
  11. avast caught it here. i assumed it was just me.
  12. Is 3.2% still all they sell out there. I was in Wichita for 6 years in the '60s. Sorry for the hijack. the difference is about 2.5g of alcohol per can. ill drink it proudly......heh
  13. i love the smell of chew. the good thing for me is as soon as it hits my mouth the clock is ticking for me to blow chow. thats my habit right there.
  14. the wal-marts here sell beer.
  15. i like the S more than the other models. ive only used the STX, SX, and the S though. the S to me seems more user friendly. if you keep lure weight over 1/4 oz IMO youll like them all. i had no problems with any of them.
  16. theres a few huge threads on this rod already.
  17. the twin contracts the H1N1 and
  18. well the Sol will do just about everything so as long as the rods not over loaded by the bait you should be fine.
  19. Daiwa Sol/Compre Crankbait Cast Rod 6'6" Med Hvy Daiwa Ito/Cumara Cast Rod 6'8" Med Hvy X Fast 1 season with the Sol/Compre and i love it. i just bought the Cumara, but it fished very well in the store.
  20. has anyone mated one with a swarming hornet? i like this bait in cool water.
  21. i got the flag that flew over the Capitol Building on the day of my 20th wedding anniversary. one of the best christmas gifts in a long time.
  22. theres like a million threads on this topic. if fact, it should be a sticky along side "what rod should i buy?" but to answer your question: Yes. i run from 8lbs.-14lbs. on my baitcasters and it is IMO very sensitive. i read its so sensitive Trojan is testing it...
  23. i know!! my post was..........in general.
  24. the Abu round reels are a great baitcaster. the only problem ive ever had was not knowing how the mag brake goes back together. the perfect first baitcaster IMO.
  25. the difference i see is with better grade bearings the spool will start easier. there is an improvement IMO but not a night and day improvement. one thing ive learned is most of the quality reels on the market really respond to a good clean and the correct lubing. i would not get Orange Seal bearings. as far as lube goes after my Daiwa lube is gone im buying all my lube from Reel Mechanic. you cant go wrong there.
