  1. i agree with burley. theres nothing wrong with the rods, i just feel that if youre spending $100 for a rod theres a lot of great choices. for me personally the powerhump grip kills any chance of me buying any more BPS rods.
  2. says a lot for good gear too.
  3. thats a half truth. kerry earnhardt couldnt beg, borrow, or steal a ride. If Kerry would have been named Dale Jr, he would have gotten those chances. I saw Kerry race when he was pretty young at Myrtle Beach. He's only slightly less of a driver than Jr, but didn't have the hype or backing of his father. As for Kasey Kahne, he is probably 10x the driver of Jr, and is in the top 15, if not top 10 of drivers. He can flat out wheel a car when given a decent car. A lot of his issues have been mechanical. all drivers at cup level can wheel that car when they have a good car. even jr. im not sure i think kasey is 10x's the driver jr is but hes in my top 10-15 drivers currenty driving in cup for sure.
  4. i dont have one but my brother does. i love everything about the boat. if i were buying a new boat it is one of 3 boats id be looking at.
  5. with the gear youve listed you will have a hard time tossing the light tackle. abu round reels can toss light tackle but the 5000 would be my last pick to do so. it would IMO make a great spinnerbait/deep crankbait reel.
  6. http://www.***.com/descpageRLCDAIWA-DBWCR.html id give that a shot.
  7. farmers been doin that for years. id rather go to goodyear.
  8. jr did well leading the race. after he got to the point he was going to have to work to win he rolled over.
  9. thats a half truth. kerry earnhardt couldnt beg, borrow, or steal a ride.
  10. at 15 years old i didnt have a tow vehicle let alone a high dollar boat to pull around. congrads.
  11. not a lot of big fish in there but theres a ton of fish from 15-20 inches. standing timber, rock, and grass.
  12. i can honestly say that everything ive bought that is BPS brand, ive never not gotten my moneys worth out of the gear. on a few occasions the gear has been beyond my expectations.
  13. ya, im going to have to agree on the Daiwa Sol. its worth every penny.
  14. are you planning on this boat being on a trailer or are you loading this boat in the back of your truck? if you can pull this boat on a trailer you can go crazy with a 14' jon boat. LBH has a sticky thats a blueprint for a boat that does everything but break the bank. i wouldnt spend any money on a boat you had to haul in the back of a truck.
  15. kill creek is west on K-10 to kill creek rd then south.
  16. i have a 7' MF with a Curado E and i like the rod for crankbaits. i think i am going to sand down the cork a bit and add grip tape but other than that its a nice rod. green on purple is odd though...............
  17. fished all day. 1 fish. heavy winds. threw everything but the kitchen sink. caught the only fish on a DT-10 brem. water was somewhat clear and 51 degrees. you can see clearly where the bass will be spawning.
  18. id love to see a Sol in a 4:1 for cranks. i have an old Daiwa Magforce i just put new ceramic bearings and drag washers in thats 3.8:1 and it sees a lot of heavy crank bait use. im interested to see how the reel does now.
  19. id pay the police to give out tickets around my house. SOME kids think back streets are a perfect place to race their rice burners. i also have to cross a highway to get to my subdivision and although the speedlimit is 55 mph if youre not 70 in the left lane (which you have to use to slow down to cross the highway) youre getting bread by the driver behind you.
  20. the Curado E is much easier to cast. id save the STX for on down the road.
  21. theres a butt load of stix threads. id do a search. youll have all the reading you need.
  22. i used my mojo last night for the first time and im on the fence a little. i like the feel of the rod but the handle needs some work in order for it to better fit my hand. you can really feel the bottom though.
  23. Thats it! after i posted this i got to thinking if i told you right and couldnt find the site i had listed. i was about to try to correct my mistake when my phone rings with a invite to go fishing. so....................glad you fixed my mistake. i will also add that some stuff they sell goes out of stock but if the site says they have it, they have it and ive never had a problem with them.
  24. its been a while since i bought them but i got a 2 man army tent off sportsmanfriend.com i think for like $12. they pack up small
