  1. 1. It's just like ebay. Some people will take a chance buying from somebody who doens't have alot of experience, some people will. 2. Post what you have in a list. Tell people if they are interested, ask for pics. Either put a price down and say $25 or best offer. Or just ask them to make an offer and go from there. 3. Paypal is a good way to go, it's kinda the standard and goes through pretty quickly. Money Order is good as well. I wouldn't take personal checks if I were you. 4. Who do you trust, NOBODY!!! Just kidding. Just make sure you have the money in your account before you ship the product. If you do take a personal check, be sure that it has gone through at your bank. Good luck and i'll be looking for your post in the flea market.
  2. Matt - I've heard so many good things and I love the action of them(Head down, tail up) I can't wait to throw it in the spawn, it's gonna get wacked. I already used the mend-it and it works wonder. while opening a mission fish, I ripped the tail off. OUCH.
  3. I'm sad to say it's been far too long since I've caught a fish. As memory serves me it was mid december. With my boat in the shop, all i've been able to do is pond fish, and they SUCK in the wintertime. But the boat will be done this week, so I WILL get my first 08' fish this week. Rain or Shine
  4. Or.... Get your girlfriend (who doesn't fish) a license and 2nd rod stamp and bring her out with you so you can throw 4 rods out
  5. Mickey's product's speak for themselves, they don't need a skinny white kid to tell people that they are good.
  6. Thank you Mr. Burley. I've actually been using the hooks from those giant Rapala Wall hangers. I use 5 of them, one every 2 feet tied together with 100# braid.
  7. I Think your the only one riding that short bus.
  8. Thats the reel I put on mine too. ;D Great minds think alike huh.
  9. This is a tough one because even though you might hate a bait, brand, etc, it doesn't mean that it doesn't work and people don't catch fish with it, so with that said Here is my hate list: -Eagle Claw -Shakespeare -Storm (some people might disagree but of the 3 I have bought, all have broke) -Castaic Soft baits (Poor Quality, paint job doesn't stand up to much abuse. I was throwing one through weeds, it got caught in some thick stuff, so I pulled it through and when I got it back in, all I had was lead and metal, no plastic...) -Booyah -Jerry Rago (I Would rather buy a hud, or a 3:16 or mattlures) -Basstrix (Even though I bought some at the ISE, then sold them 30 min later for double, I am tired of them littering the ebay swimbait page. I can't wait till this craze is over) -BPS Brand Baits (Never had one run straight. Had one that had a hole in it so instead of a top water, it was a bottom walker.) that's all I can think of now.
  10. I like to be out on the water 3 hours before sunset and i'll stay out till I can't stay awake. My first night fishing trip we were out on the water from 7 p.m. till 9 a.m. the next day. It really depends on how the bite is doing, obviously if the bite is red hot, your going to stay out all night long.
  11. I'd be too afraid that if I did hook up with a giant, that the thing wouldn't hold up, even though it says it's rated to 35#.
  12. Brown Craw type color Watermelon I like to keep it simple. I have had good luck with a straight brown with a little bit of purple mixed in.
  13. Well I've used it in Alaska for salmon fishing. I had 25# on and was able to fight a 45#'er without breaking. Along with a couple 10# silvers. For the week I used it, it had low memory for me.
  14. Have him go talk to his wireless carrier.
  15. Would I drive it.... Yea Would I buy it.... NO!!!!
  16. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but love the feel of it paired with my tierra 2000. I can't wait till I get my boat back from the shop so I can go out and use it. I might just go out to the apartment swimming pool and mess around with it.
  17. I'm in. Thanks for starting this. It looks like fun
  18. Lowrance X96 - $200 Crucial Dropshot 7'2" M EF - $130 Hudd ROF 5 - $35.00 2 7" Mission Fish Shad/Trout - $28 3 R2S Jigs - $9 2 1-1/4oz Spoons - $11 2 Ultimate Matt Lures Bluegills Male and Female - $44 10" power worms - $4 Rapala X-rap - $6 Pro's Soft Bait Glue - $10 Mend-It - $12 Eye Surrender Swimbait Wrap - $9 Seagur 6# flouro - $17 $60 worth of Jerky - $60 Oh yea, and $50 for a license +2nd rod stamp =$625 and I still had $25 for gas. Pretty sweet weekend all and all. I've been going to this show since I was little with my dad and every year I look forward to the jerky ALMOST as much as I look forward to the booths. So I always get enough to last a few days ;D I think I got around 5#'s or so. It's well worth it though. I was sure to put everything away and throw away any evidence away before my girlfriend, because there would be no round of applause for this one. The R2S jigs are alright, I only got them because I had a coupon for a tackle shop after I bought my rod from them, so i bought some random stuff that I normally wouldn't buy.
  19. Here in cali, summer days get hot, so night time is the way to go. I like it because you beat the heat and the crowds. It's always makes it better when you fish with someone fun as well, because when the fishing sucks, it gets BORING!!!
  20. Well I just got back from the International Sportsmens Expo here in Sacramento. I went both saturday and sunday with just one goal... to spend my paycheck. So here is what I got. Lowrance X96 Crucial Dropshot 7'2" M EF Hudd ROF 5 2 7" Mission Fish Shad/Trout 3 R2S Jigs 2 1-1/4oz Spoons 2 Ultimate Matt Lures Bluegills Male and Female 10" power worms Rapala X-rap Pro's Soft Bait Glue Mend-It Eye Surrender Swimbait Wrap Seagur 6# flouro $60 worth of Jerky I think I did pretty good, My girlfriend told me not spend my money on stupid stuff.... so i didn't. And also got to talk to some killer bass guys from left to right Bub Tosh, Dee Thomas, Gary Dobyns, Skeet Reese, Greg Guiterrez, Dave Rush. That was awesome
  21. Alright guys I need your help deciding. I'm going to our ISE tommorrow and I am going to get a new dropshot rod, but I want this rod to be versatile. The main thing I want it for is dropshotting, but I would also like to use it for some trout lakes around here (Not big trout just 1-3#'s) throwing kastmasters, roostertails, etc. And the last thing that isn't too important is small 1/4oz jigs. So Should I go with a Medium light fast rated from 1/16 to 1/4 or a medium extra fast rated from 1/4 to 3/8. Thanks guys
  22. I would make sure that the backing and the braid are close to the same diameter for a better knot.
  23. While fishing a pond that has tons and tons of 14-15 inchers, he put a peice of a sausage McMuffin on his hook and caught one with that.
  24. When I started swimbaiting, I started with small baits that I could throw with my current setup (7' MH); 3:16 mighty minnow, Mission Fish, any mattlures bait, M.S. Slammer, basically any bait around an 1oz. Then after that I got a swimbait rod/reel and was able to start getting the bigger baits like the hud, BBZ, etc.
  25. I use 50# braid when fishing at night when I don't have to worry about the fish seeing the bait.
