  1. My main thing is a GLX, just like everyone else, to see what the fuss is about. Basstrix Wake Jr. Armageddon Revo Stella Calcutta
  2. I'm with you bro, after the ISE comes through sacto, i'm going on a spending diet. Every toy I own (Car, truck, boat, and dirt bike) need $500 or more in work. So after the ISE is over i need to save all money to fix the toys. So i've been spending like a madman, i only have 2 1/2 weeks left.
  3. I would go with a 7' MH with whatever rod you choose. My first was a BPS Extreme 7' MH. I had no complaints, It did what I wanted it to.
  4. +1. I just got some from TW when they went on sale, and love them. I went and gave awat all of my BPS ones. I feel that they give a little more protection from bangs and bumps than the BPS ones.
  5. NEW PB... my current one is getting old... fast!!! Get boat motor fixed Start playing basketball again Learn to jig (I have very little patience for this)
  6. bizz gave me some mighty minnows awhile back, my PB is held on these. I don't use them as much anymore because i've gone bigger, but they are cheap, durable (when they rip, just melt them back together), and great for ponds. They are a weedless topwater. Just another optioin, I think they are like 10.99 for four and a hook. Good luck.
  7. I ordered mine on tuesday also, just got the confirmation that it was shipped out on thursday, so hopefully i'll be getting it soon. Thanks bizz for letting me know, your such a bad influence.
  8. Once when I get up before work, once when I get home during lunch, and usually 2-3 times more after I get off of work before I go to bed.
  9. I used a buddies Aruku shad, it wasn't too bad, nothing impressive. Haven't used the topwater but I have a couple BBZ's. Durable and I love the action.
  10. I re-spool a lot. I actually went out and bought a line stripper because i'm tired of doing it by hand. I've been using a lot of leaders lately so that way I dont' have to completely re-spool. I use cheaper line for the backing. I do buy some bulk, but I dont' know if it was worth it, I still haven't used it all after a year.
  11. This was my first BC, and it worked great for a beginner reel. I wouldn't buy another, not because they aren't good or anything, but I just bought a curado and am in love with them. Well worth the extra $$$
  12. They always say use the highest # test you can get away with. I use 50# suffix and will bend big owner hooks before breaking the line.
  13. Fishing sites have taken place of the XXX sites for me. I find myself browsing the store and seeing what kind of good stuff I can get for 50 bucks or 100 bucks. It's become a habit. I guess i'm testing my self control. As long as I keep my credit card locked up, i usually do pretty good.
  14. I don't know about the rod, but I bought that reel for my dad for his first BC. I was setting it up and showing him how to use it, I almost wanted to keep it for myself. This is coming from a person that doesn't really like BPS brand stuff. For the money I think it's a good deal. It doesn't cast as well as my curado, but for a reel under 50, it was great. I'm actually thinking about buying one for a trunk reel. But like others said, if you plan to fish a lot, your gonna want to upgrade a lot, but for 60 bucks, go for it.
  15. I use a 7-6 Heavy Okuma with Cardiff 400. I use Power Pro 25#. Well I should say my buddy used this when I bought it from him, and it works for me. I through 3-6 oz baits.
  16. I use the palomar for everything, i've got it down to where I can tie it in the dark, it's easy, and I've never had a fish break off (if tied correctly)
  17. How did you rig her? I'll have to try that next time!!!! I used a breakfast sandwich. sourdough, sausage, cheddar cheese, and egg. Stupid stupid fish in the pond.
  18. This is just like reading a post with a subject like "Shimano vs. Abu?". I believe it's just like everything else in fishing, personal preference. If you have confidence in it, stick with it. Everyone of you guys have your own pro's vs con's on everything from rod's and reels to line and hooks. Yes, tungsten is a lower profile than the same size of brass or lead, but yes it 4 times as much $$. To some guys it's worth the extra price, to others (like me) they would rather have quantity of weights. I also believe that they have there time and place. "Personally" i would never use them for dropshotting, I might as well just start throwing $5 bills in the water because i'm rig my dropshot rig so I don't lose the whole rig if I get snagged, just the weight. But "personally" i like them when punching through thick mats (I feel that with the smaller profile, they punch through easier). I've used them night fishing as well, but if you look through my box, 95% of my weights are lead. But to every man his own, stick to what you like.
  19. That's a tough one. I use texas rigged fishing ponds. I wacky rig a smaller senko if i get a follower on a SB.
  20. Yea, that pretty much explains it. Not only would I not buy a $250 bait, yet alone mod it like this crazy kid.
  21. Email Sent. Thanks bobby, can't wait to try them
  22. I'm glad to see that many people who all enjoy the same sport, get together and accomplish something major like that. I"m happy you got your lake back. Fish on.
  23. x2 x3. Don't overthink it, "Just Do It"
  24. I tried that, she asked how much. 250... akward pause.... the "Are you crazy" look.... then walked away. I gave my gf a list: -Huddleston ROF 5 or 12 in Trout. Any questions ask 4biz -Norman DD22 in Shad - Any question ask 4biz -M.S. Slammer 9 in. Dark Trout. Any questions ask 4biz -Eakins Jigs any size and color (Except for ones you think are "PRETTY") Any questions ask 4biz It helps having a friend that knows stuff.
  25. +1. I just gained confidence in jigs yesterday after 2 years of heavy bass fishing. I used the eakins got all my fish for the day using a brown and orange with a paca craw. I'm going to start throwing jigs more often now.
