  1. This is not new. I watched a documentry on the Snakehead on the History Channel a few weeks ago. They said that the snakehead has already been found in the Potomic. More alarmingly the Northern Snakehead (a bigger badass) has been found in other US water as well. Why cant people kill their unwanted fish rather than let them go. Ridiculous.
  2. I heard a rumor that St croix is redesigning the Legend Eiite. Has anyone else heard that?
  3. zoom watermelon candy
  4. I have the MG50 on a BCR853 GLX. It is light as a feather.

If you are not fishing in the rain or fishing in the summer months I would buy something cheap, like a poncho from Walmart. If you are serious about having something for the fall through the spring I would get the best rain gear that I could afford. In the fall and winter months a good rainsuit will break a lot of wind and keep you warm. The BPS 100MPH is a good suit too and the old ones are on clearance.
  6. I fish a lake similar to what you describe and I busted them up on a lipless crank last weekend. If I was you I would buy a couple of lipless cranks (Strike King Red Eye shad) and a couple fo Bandit cranks. That way you can try both.
  7. The Mg is a great reel. I own a couple. Early this Spring I was deciding between getting another MG or a Core. I eventaully bought another MG after reading some threads/reviews about the Core. The biggest complaint was that the performance didnt justify the price difference while others were disappointed in casting performance. Just passing along the info I found. I am sure the Core is a quality reel too, but after owning an MG I knew what to expect and I took the extra money and put it towards a quality rod. I am sure you will be happy with either one! *I bought my last MG on ebay and it was delivered to my door for around $205.
  8. Does anyone know where I can still get a Curado on sale and qualify for the rebate? *** has been picked clean.
  9. I like to have one rod for each application. When fishing out of another person boat I bring 3 along" crankbait, worm/jig, carolina rig
  10. I have found several in this color including a subwalk. I picked up a few of these at Dicks Sporting Goods. I think the color is moss back shiner.
  11. 10" Berkley Power worm.
  12. I have the same rod with the MG as the reel. It is a awsome combo.
  13. Lipless crank.
  14. Nice! Now make sure a box shows up at your door with a Shimano Chronarch MG. Awesome combo.
  15. Bass Pro Shops Extreme Series is supposedly good for the money. I have never used there reels, but I have used their rods in the past and they are great entry level rods.
  16. I was raving about the guides popping out on my St Croix fiberglass rod a few weeks ago. All I can say is that customer support has gone out of their way to make me happy. It is one reason that I will continue to support St. Croix.
  17. Dont use CXX on the spinning reel. You are asking for a world of trouble and headaches. I have tried it, my friend has tried it and we had so many issues it wasnt funny. With my Baitcasters I have had no problems (except for memory issues). Go figure :-?
  18. Just cancel your carrot stick order and order from Simmons. I have canceled backorder items i the past from Cabelas with no problem.
  19. I lost one nice fish yesterday using this lure, but was consitantly putting them in the boat.
  20. I was never part of the lipless crank crowd after trying the rattle-traps and rattln rap over the years with limited success. However, I have been converted to the lipless crowd after using this lure. It is now the first thing that I throw in the morning and this is coming from a diehard jig man. The only drawback is that they need to make a 3/4 and 1oz size.
  21. I would go with a 5:1. I first bought a 4:1 it was too slow for me and I returned it for a 5:1. I found the 5:1 to be a good speed even for the deep divers such as the DD22. The only 6:1 I use is for burning lipless cranks back to the boat.
  22. Same problem with the Quantums as other posters. Reliability. Havent bought a Quantum in 5yrs. I was tempted at BPS to get the Burner for 139 after rebate and reel trade-in, but decided to pass and buy a Shimano. I would consider buying an Abu or Daiwa in the future, but I will never buy a Quantum again. I guess I am a proud member of the Shimano Posse.
  23. Everytime I went to Cabelas over the last 3 months they have has a variety of carrot stixs in stock ( I was just there again last night). I am suprised they wont locate one from another store and ship it to you. Bummer.
  24. I recently has a different problem with the guide on the Premier. All I can say is that I have been dealing with St Croix directly. There support is A+
