If you fish mostly clear water I would go with a Sammy 100 or Pointer 78 in Ghost Minnow. If the water is stained or muddy I would go with a Gunfish 95 or RC 1.5.
  2. Strike King Premier Plus (Tandem blades)
  3. It makes very good dental floss.
  4. I use it for jigs and soft plastics for the added sensitivity and hook setting power. Also, it is less visible than mono, which can help you get more bites in clear water.
  5. Shallow: Lucky Craft RC 1.5, Lucky Craft Flat Mini Medium: Lucky Craft Fat GDS DR, Bomber Model A Deep: Lucky Craft Flat CB DR
  6. I have a Cardinal 101 ultra-light spinning reel that I use for brim. I have had it for a while now and am very impressed with it (for the money). The drag handled 43 bluegills and 8 bass today very well. It's a really good deal for $30 IMO.
  7. 6 5.5 4.75 5.25
  8. I bet Fish Chris would go after them with bass tackle.
  9. Lol, Great post. Who knew there was such a device.
  10. There is a thread running on it titled "Interesting".
  11. No, I've always had very good hookups on it without one.
  12. Buzzbaits.

Or one of those things that crawl out of your bathroom sink?
  14. I own a few Avids and have fished a friend's Graphite Plus several times. I like the Avid alot better, IMHO it is alot more sensitive. It's more expensive, but I think it is worth the extra money.
  15. I think he means the money from the rebate on Shimano reels that was going on up until awhile ago.
  16. Seige is supposedly tougher and stronger, while Elite is supposed to handle and cast better. I would use Elite for your spinning rig, it is great on mine.

  18. Length and Girth around the fish's widest part of the belly.
  19. It doesn't get much better than a fried flounder sandwhich...... Nice fish.
  20. Great fish, there is nothing like catching them on topwater. A tip on keeping your buzzbaits from bending: Take a small rubber band (like the ones used for braces) and loop it around the R-bend of the wire several times (7x usually works). This will keep the knot from sliding up the wire when you are fighting a fish, so the wire won't bend out of shape.
  21. Florida, Louisiana, and Alaska are the only states without them.

GMAN, What hooks do you use for your finesse jigs?
  23. Great fish, but a hideous hat.
  24. They will help you see more fish, but most importantly they will protect your eyes. With sunglasses especially, you get what you pay for.
