  1. When you prep the area sand well and feather it out 8-10 inches to allow plenty of room for the glass to adhere.
  2. You certainly can screw it if you like. If you glass it correctly there should be no problem. Just make sure your supports are flush and mounted to keep everything stable. Don'y try to screw into the glass without drilling a small hole to allow the penetration. Without it you may weaken the area due to the screw breaking up the glass.
  3. They should not be attached to the TM batteries. Interference is horrible. Hook them up to the cranking battery and you should be fine.
  4. Wayne P I woun't argue that point. Just never had one fail. I do switch them out about every four years to be safe though.
  5. Only problem I have ever had is when the Big Foot on-off button goes bad. It is not part of the TM just an extra piece I mount in the floor. I keep a spare and it is a 10 minute fix on the water. I have a Big Foot adjustable handle mounted on mine and when I need to I just kick it around with my knee. Works great for me and I cannot see any casts missed due to the hand operation.
  6. Back seat is claimed for Saturday night.
  7. I'm in and I bet I can talk Long Mike into sharing a boat with me. Are you listening Mike?
  8. I would be hard pressed to ever use a motorguide. I quit 20 years ago and have never, ever had a problem with a Minnkota. Their blade designs are far and away ahead of any other brand. Never, ever a problem with any electric issues with a Minnkota. I use a hand operated 74# bow mount Rip Tide straight 24V and would reccommend to anyone that needs one. Not one trip in 20 years has been hampered by a TM problem. I use the hand operated so I will not have an issue with broken foot controlled cables.
  9. D8 sander and prep both surfaces. It will bond well. Use the chopped fiberglas for several layers and then finish it off with the matted glass. Jack
  10. A Conoco station in Houston had gas at 3.21 a gallon yesterday.
  11. Been there many times. Best bite was always to fish the cuts with moving water for me.
  12. Sam, I agree with most of Linder's sayings but strongly disagree with the bass rarely go deeper than 15'. If you are going to consistantly catch the larger fish around here you better be deeper than that. Or in the heavy grass.
  13. If we all knew the answer we could sell 10 million books. They will move up, down, sideways, to the nearest cover, or out over deeper water to suspend for a while. You just have to fish them and hope you stumble across them. Even if you find them you may not know it as they probably will be in a non feeding situation and you will never know that you went through them. I would look for any unusual spot like a depression, underwater bar, or any brush or trash that you find in the deeper areas. Try fishing them at night. If you do, fish them like you did when you caught them the first day. Most fish will stay around that depth at night instead of going up shallow.
  14. Probably a little bit of both. Congratulations! Look at all the new hardware you now have to keep stocked up on.
  15. If he is into fishing let him know what you have done. Surely he would not have you cancel a guided trip. If he says you have to work, just give him the paid for guided trip and then he owes you big time. Or you can just tell him to "Shove it". Good luck.
  16. You may need to check out your T-rig. Sounds as if you are leaving a kink in the worm. It needs to hang perfectly straight to keep the line twist to a minimum. Your SB must be rolling over also. Check the alinment to see if the overhead wiring is lined up with the hook.
  17. Spiderwire is probably one of the worst lines on the market. Jesus Christ could not fish with it. Powerpro or Suffix and your braid problems are history Trilene Big Game is a great all around mono.
  18. Thanks Catt. I just printed this and have put it in my boat. I need to reread it about once a week. It reminded me to go out and research four areas that I have problems relocating the fish once the early bite is done. Jack
  19. Any day except today. It is my wife's birthday and we are going out to eat this evening. Just pick any other day and let me know.
  20. If I am fishing a bank I feel as though 90% of the fish are behind me.
  21. Mike you sound like my wife. I have to admit though it gets harder and harder.
