River2Sea Tango Prop
Yep these look pretty good. I have been eyeballing it for a while. I too am curious if anyone has had success. I imagine it would work well with a ripping retrieve on choppy water.

Looking for a big worm?
Question:Would anyone here actually consider using that thing? I am well aware of the large items that bass will try to cram down their piggy throats, but seriously?? Just curious

Pond Pros
The obvious choice is senkos or whatever brand you use next would be spinnerbaits and buzzbaits 1/8 and 1/4 oz. rapala dt series 4 and 6 small jigs 1/4 oz zara spook puppys heddon torpedo oops, thats more than 3 but these are great for samll ponds especially if you are walking the bank

If I am not mistaken it is because there are Florida strain bass in cali and those are the ones eating the high protein trout diet.

TF Comes Up Big - Pics
There are some big dogs in silver creek! I personally have seen an 8lber pulled out of there and have caught a 6 myself. There is a nice stumpfield running right down the middle of the main lake The fishing area is restricted to such a small area though. You gotta get lucky. All my life growing up I always wanted to get a boat out to the middle of lake anna it would be pretty awesome fishing I bet. Sorry TF,was just reminiscing about a place I used to live

What annoys you?
You know those same individuals(for lack of a better term) that will skin their fish right on the bank and leave the remains there to gather every fly within 3 miles...
-
What annoys you?
I use braid mostly and leave a knot or two on my worm hooks to plug the gap on the line tie so the thin slick line doesn't slip out. Brings me back to the topic: Setting the hook and hearing a pop when my knot breaks of my hook GRRRRR!
-
Other than black bass, what do like to fish for the most?
Crappie, when it's time to get a proper munch on.
-
What annoys you?
People shouting things from the bank such as "Man you gonna throw that back??!!" "Or bring it over here if you don't want that" BITE ME!!! and learn how to fish for yourself.I don't owe you a thing just because you witnessed me catching a 6lber.Theres a reason game fish are called gamefish and panfish called panfish. You simply cannot drill the facts of bass fishing into their thick skulls : Can't stand being outfished by someone who doesn't have a clue and will throw a pansy little worm all day and I have gone through half my tackle box. It happens LOL, must humble myself : Hate seeing fish busting all over and driving over to the spot only to not even get the slightlest nibble, then see them doing it 50 yards away again : Hate when I leave the plug out of my jonboat 8-) Hate waking up late and knowing I missed the topwater :-/ Detest people who litter > Hate turning my head to talk to my partner and turning back only to see my plug has dissapeared : 14 ft jonboat and trolling motor. The wind is NOT my friend! > Weatherman that say the front is approaching tomorrow morning and it comes the night before : Watching the bass pin a massive group of shad against a bank or weedline and tossing everything in the book at them only to be rejected. People that fish with live shiners and keep what they catch should be shot. This is not open to debate! Guys that roar up to you in their fancy boats in a quiet cove should be beaten > I got skunked this morning so this list could go on for a while, but I do feel better

What you never fished at bass lakes on 585 outside of doylestown Bass Brat?? ;D Never bass fished there but they got some 40+lb cats and tons of trout just like the ones he pictured. Wonder if that place is still open??

How would this setup perform?
Not everything but a lot will work. First rethink the 12lb test. You will lose a lot of casting distance for lighter lures.Second you will not be able to fish heavy brush or weeds and slop very well.Carolina rigging would also be tough. Please check the weight recomendations on the rod.Something too heavy such as a 3/4 oz may be too much and could snap it while casting. A list of lures and or techniques this setup may work for could include: Smaller topwaters spinnerbaits up to 3/8 oz worms and texas rigging up to around 1/4 oz senkos, wacky rigs, fluke baits, trickworms floating and suspending jerkbaits rattle traps smaller and shallower crankbaits up to say 6 ft divers small jigs 1/4 oz split shot rigging shakey head rigs drop shot panfishing with bobbers and live bait or minnows

Tru Tungsten Force Beads.... what gives???
Whether or not it makes a difference I am not sure but I wasn't using a TT weight on my c-rig. I used a lake fork mega tungsten weight 1/2 oz. A forceful snap cast instead of a lob? Maybe the beads had tiny air holes in them when they were molded. Was late last year when I used them so obviously I don't have a reciept or package for them but it is nice to know that I could have the option to have something like that replaced if I needed. Those things cost as much as the weights
-
Spro Bronzeye frog, please need help!
Agree. I use slender glass worm rattles. You have to keep the hole open or air will get trapped inside and the body won't compress. Now if the body starts to rip then seal it. Soft bait glue and super clue will work but not that well if a fish rips it.

Tru Tungsten Force Beads.... what gives???
I hadn't noticed that. What I did notice is that I cracked mine on a carolina rig. That is supposed to be the main gimmick, that they won't crack :

My thoughts on hook sets and pegged unpegged weights
There is no technique or lure that will give 100% hookups always and some of it depends on just how the fish are biting. Are they sitting there not moving after gently sucking it up or are they grabbing and running. Either way I think it is safe to say that no-one has noticed any change in overall hookups.

My thoughts on hook sets and pegged unpegged weights
Not trying to be a jack@ss. Sometimes you can only learn things by arguing with people,if your a little thickheaded like me sometimes, of course. RW you use that roll eyes smilie too much : 8-)

My thoughts on hook sets and pegged unpegged weights
Another disagree, sorry. You can't quite put a jig,any jig, into the places where you can put a slender low profile craw worm, tube, creature. Huh and to think I have been doing it for 30+ years Wow Catt! And to think you've been doing it wrong all these years... Come to think of it, I might have done that a time or two myself. : See that opening beyond the lily pads in the buck brush kinda to the left & behind the flowers? I can put a jig or un-pegged Texas Rigged Lizard in there! Still aint had no one answer my questions So you can fish it THROUGH that brush, not around it,or how bout hydrilla and milfoil mats without it getting gunked up? Nice banter by the way.To each his own :
