  1. Drop shot with a jig underneath. Not unheard of ,but strange to me.
  2. Am still trying to figure out why these manufacturers try to push the salt as an attractant? :-? IMO its a gimmick, salt helps control the action, sink rate, and weight of the plastic. That being said I dont like gulp at all for bass.Where do I begin on the negatives?Try to check for posts on gulp and you may find many negative things being said. Yum baits are by far one of my best brands, but they need to stop putting salt on the outside of the baits
  3. Really,Am I the only one missing something here??!! I get bored, but not that bored :
  4. Good post Raul, explained well.I too know these techniques and you have now saved me from having to type all that in! I can only peck a keyboard so it would have taken me at least 15 minutes LOL Once again, get off the lizard syndrome and c-rig a fluke its dynamite.
  5. Top 4 Junebug black/blue swirl green pumpkin/purple watermelon w/black and red
  6. too funny ;D I was thinking the same. Cavatron 1/8 all the way to 3/8 Booyah counterstrike buzz and the pond magic only Strike King Triple
  7. Question is will HBK really do what he said and put old yeller down?
  8. X2 on everything shad cranker said. Might I add that if you are from florida the trickworm is a real mother around here. The fish will really begin to hate you.
  9. sooo who goes next??
  10. worm and jig too I'd start around the outside first with maybe a senko. Thats my approach. Some people like to go straight to the meat.I always fish the edges first.
  11. A blur??? I heard those arent very good lures. JK Its nice to find little gifts that people leave behind. If only I could find a way to get all the goodies down from the telephone wires at a small roadside lake I fish?? :-/
  12. Round here in FL those little lizards run rampant like insects.Have often wondered how they would fare as bait.I have tossed one in the water before and they scurry quite frantically.Dont think I got the heart to just kill em with a hook and I got thousands in tackle that tells me theres a better way to catch fish LOL.
  13. this has got to be better than the live mouse thread : Couldnt tell you which way is best, but sounds like a cool idea.Just hook one up and se what it does.Stick it with one of the weed guard hooks to keep it unsnagged.
  14. NICE! I have some more playing around to do. When I get my DH the way I want.I get the rear prop to spin effortlessly with very little rod movement and shouldnt have to really move the lure at all to get it to spin.Very light twitches in place, or slight pull of the rod tip.It is about the same as twitching an original Rapala on top.It looks like a wounded minnow fluttering about.A real subtle action without aggressive rips and jerks.
  15. AMEN to the guy who said the bass dont know these rules. ;D But yes.I have actually painted some of my cranks straight black with red eyes or a white stripe and do rather well on occasion in some nasty water. Also remember that on certain bodies of water there are certian colors that will p iss the bass of more than others even if it doesn't follow our "bible" of color choice.
  16. The baby is the all around best size.Very versitile lure. Black and blue okechobee craw black with blue claws summer craw key lime pie
  17. weightless trick worm buzzing frog Where ya from ohiobassmaster? I used to live in Ohio and frequented to ohio canal mostly.Your talking about miles and miles of what you just described.Scum, weeds, scum, and more scum.Lunkers galore because most people wouldnt even try to fish it.LOL
  18. Most productive: Devils horse.Front prop removed, rear prop tweaked. Favorite:Any size spook, with the SS Jr being the best. Also a weightless trickworm twitched on top. I am a topwater fanatic. These ar just a few of my favorite things.... Oh! cant forget the Excalibur Zel Pop!
  19. strike king custom?? I've seen that crank recently, the name is on the tip of my tongue.Maybe I'll lose some sleep LOL
  20. Manns flat crank??
  21. x2 If you play with certain lures enough and master them, you'd be darn surprised at what will bust it.
  22. Cool, didnt know they made a bang o with a prop.I Like it, like it a lot.(so says the monkey)
