  1. Put alot of work into using spinning gear. Also spent the latter part of the season learning to fish a ned rig.
  2. Between May and November I fished 46 times, mostly on weekends.
  3. A consistent smooth drag and line management are the most important for dropshotting. Nothing worse than line twist wrecking a day out on the water.
  4. Shimano Zodias 7' ML Spinning Rod with a Shimano Rarenium 2500FB Powell Max 683C with a Shimano Curado 100D
  5. The magnesium frame is well worth the extra money. Note that the gear ratios are different between the President and the Supreme series. I purchased a Supreme XT (on sale) and I have been very impressed with it. Great looks, very light weight but with a very solid feel to it.
  6. Zoom Shakey Head and Finesse worms.
  7. Green Pumpkin Aaron's Magic Watermelon Gold/Purple Flake (Mardi Gras)
  8. I use a dab of Megastrike as a lube, it has the added bonus of scenting the worms.
  9. M/F Spinning for Finesse Stuff H/F Casting for Jigs, Frogs, and smaller swimbaits MH/F Casting for everything else
  10. Dropshot, Ned rig , Jigs and Spinnerbaits are my favorite fall lures.
  11. I agree that the tips of the Loomis dropshot series are too soft for general use. I have the mag medium Loomis and it's a great dropshot rod. I would probably go with a SJR 782 for general use.
  12. Try to find a Fenwick 7'6" ML Aetos if it is still on sale. Excellent dropshot rod. The extra length helps alot for casting distance and controlling fish. I use mine to throw weighless finesse worms and dropshotting.
  13. Last orders of this season. Shimano Rarenium 2500FB spinning reel, a whopper plopper 90, 12 bags of Zoom Shakey Head worms, 4 bags of TRD Tubez, 2 bags of Strike King Ocho worms, Sunline Sniper 200 yd. 7lb test, 50 Quick Drops dropshot weights, and 2 bags of ZinkerZ worms.
  14. A 5" Zoom Shakey Head worm in various colors, either dropshot or weightless.
  15. The old black Cumara 7'2" MHF is my favorite Ika rod. The Dobyns DX743C (my current Senko/Ika rod) is also excellent.

  17. Shimano Zodias 7' ML spinning rod, Fenwick Aetos 7'6" ML spinning rod, and a Pflueger Supreme XT spinning reel.

  21. If you live in British Columbia, Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas are opening stores in the lower mainland next year.
  22. Try a parasite clip. Been using them for years now. Has saved me countless amount of money on baits. http://www.basspro.com/Parasite-Worm-Weight-Clips/product/93400/
