I set the hook not soft as your saying, not like a bass but somewhat in between, trout tend to swallow if you allow them to so set soon as u feel it hit. Also try smaller bait, could be that they are swallowing but the hook is nowhere near where u need it to be.

x2 trout are head upstream in winter and downstream back into lakes,ponds in the spring when they spawn. I fished trout for 3 years before getting into bass now im addicted

what would you guys suggest for a little pond that is fed from a 5-6 acre lake that during late spring early fall has a lot of vegetation. Water is pretty clear most of the time. Cant seem to throw anything in the winter that catches anything

Surgery was yesterday..a gruesome 9 hours, he lost a lot of blood and had to have a transfusion but other than that all went well. They are talking at least 6-8 months recovery time including physical therapy for 3 months. Ill be off for the next few days so all be safe and enjoy the holidays.

Yesterday my father had an accident while at work. He was digging a trench for the construction company he works for to put a new septic tank in and the dirt/rock mound caved in on him. He broke both of his legs and his right arm. His arm and his left leg they say will be fine with a 99% chance of full recover on the arm and 80% chance on the leg. His shattered the femur bone on the right side of his body and needs full re-constructive surgery. There is a 80% chance the surgery will give him limited use of his right leg and a 20% chance they say if surgery doesnt help then they may have to amputate. For those of you who preay please include my father in your prayers. He is a great man and has a real love for his family. Thank you for reading and have a Merry Christmas to everyone as my computer time will be limited until he fully recovers.

ive never used a scale but i want to start keeping records so i can track my progress. Any suggestions for a cheap/RELIABLE <-- more important scale?

I have one of them brand new in the box. although the box isnt in the best of shape the lure is brand new.
