  1. If you live near a Dick's Sporting Goods try to get there A.S.A.P. My local Dick's had all of there Strike King Shaw's Pro Series baits on clearance. On the rack they where marked down to $.97 cents and they all rung up at $.68 cents at the register. 5 bags of baits for $3.63! That's 50 lures for less than $4.00!!! Nice looking lures and in some good colors too. I picked up 1 pack of 5" junebug Salty Sticks, (they only had 1 pack left) 1 pack of 5" green pumpkin seed Paddle tail Sticks, 1 pack of 3.5" chartreuse salt and pepper grubs, 1 pack of 3.5" black and blue craws, (last pack also) and 1 pack of 4" black and blue creature hogs. These are some of the coolest looking creatures I have ever seen! Good stuff at a great price.
  2. Great hooks. Great price. You should be happy.
  3. Yep. Zip ties or small dia. wire will do the trick! I prefer zip ties myself.
  4. I like the price of lead. For the most part Tru-Tungsten is competing with lead, to a much lesser point brass, and to an even lesser point steel. You are overpaying for the price of hype. "Oh my! Ike uses it and catches lots of fish I better use it too." Brass and steel are both plenty sensitive and are cheaper than tungsten.
  5. You got one over on the bait monkey, very nice, but you can never beat the bait monkey! I suppose you could end up homeless on the streets and not be able to afford tackle. That might sort of qualify as beating the bait monkey??? :-?
  6. Grubs. On a jig head or a texas rig. Fished pretty much any way the fish want. Fast, slow, helicoptered, vertically jigged, top, bottom.... Pretty much whenever, wherever.
  7. Whoa! The man who patented the term bait monkey (you should have done that Raul ;D ) and also the guy who has 3 of every piece of bass fishing tackle made since 1973 still fishes a lowly, run of the mill, find them everywhere everyday grub? Who would of thought. The Grub has always been my favorite lure. If Raul approves I must be doing something right!
  8. Hell yeah I'd whoop his booty! I use only Shimano reels, G Loomis rods, Yozuri line, Yamamoto plastics, and Lucky Craft hard lures. "Duh nuh nuh nuh... Can't touch this!" ;D :
  9. I'm sure arkbassguy thanks you for your professional opinion. :
  10. Looks kind of the VMC hooks that Storm used to put in with soft lures. I checked VMC's website and did not see them though. Maybe something they make specially for Storm?
  11. Anyway. Bass & Aquariums = Bad idea.
  12. There you have it. They use their lateral line to feed. In the book Largemouth Bass by Don Oster they mention a study being done on blindfolded bass. "In one experiment, researchers placed small cups over the eyes of bass, then dropped minnows into a tank with the largemouths. Eventually the bass ate each minnow, using their lateral lines to locate the baitfish."
  13. 2. 1 spinning and 1 baitcasting. I fish from the shore and the bass don't seem to mind that I don't have 186 rods and reels. Everyone looks way to much into this! I need 83 rods and reels to catch a fish that is dumber than a boxs of rox? Give me a Zebco 33 and the "Garbage rod" it came on and I will show you some bass!
  14. Mann's made most of, if not all, the FLW soft plastics. Also as stated some Wal-Mart's have the Mann's Dragin' series 150 piece bass kit for about $10.00. It's a great kit for the money if you can find one with good colors in it. Augertails, Mannipulators, Jelly worms, lizards, etc.
  15. I agree.
  16. Take the wire keeper off the HP hooks and then put the keeper on your favorite EWG hook. Works great!
  17. Pumpkinseeds are cool fish! I got two of them about 4 months back with a bunch of feeders I bought for my Oscar. Unfortunately my wife fed the smaller one to my Oscar just this morning! :'( The larger one had a real bad fungus when we got him and I actually had to cut off part of his tail to get rid of it. His tail has grown back and he is very healthy now.
  18. As mentioned Wii Sports is a fun "family" game. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is also a good game. I have not played Metroid Prime 3 yet but it is supposed to be a very good game. Wii Fit and the Balance Board also look promising. Virtual Console is the best. I have a bunch of Mario and Sonic games down loaded so far and I have an NES and a Genesis. Super Mario Brothers 2 The Lost Levels (Japanese version of Super Mario 2) has to be one of the hardest games ever! Also I would highly recommend the Nyko recharge station for your Wii-motes. Just set the Wii-motes on the charger base and never worry about dead batteries again.
  19. Ah yes, Concrete Paradise. 2 hours away and I haven't been there in about 7 years. Overpriced parking, overpriced admission, and way overpriced food and drinks. Pay all that money to wait in line for hours to get on a coaster...no thanks. Screw Canada's Wonderland too. They are owned by Cedar Fair, the same company that owns Cedar Point and are the same company that closed my 119 year old home park, Geauga Lake, last September without any warning. > As far as my family and I are concerned, Cedar Fair under their current mangement will never see a dollar from us.

  21. There is a seller on e-bay that sells a roller jig. They are factory seconds and sold in bulk lots. I know they use owner hooks but I think the front may have spikes instead of a grooved surface. I cannot find any on e-bay right now but I do see them there often. You may want to keep an eye out for them.
  22. Here is the video! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-pro-Casey-Ashley.html Bad cast! Sorry the page you requested does not exist or has moved. ...or maybe the other files just didn't like that one and they all ganged up on it till it left. Anyways it's not here. ;D That's some classic Glenn humor right there!
  23. I just performed a highly scientific experement and placed about a foot of 10 lb. orginal hybrid in a bowl of water, it floats. ;D Well for about 5 minutes. Now about half the line is starting to sink slightly (2 coils out of about 5).
  24. Muddy, What no picture of Jungle Pam?
