Brett lives here in Hattiesburg during the offseason,but the retirement talk every year gets tiresome.I personally think he has a few more years left in the gas tank,but I also think he's just ready to hang 'em up and enjoy life a little.Go ahead and do it or just shut up about it.Enough already!

I'm a Bama fan also.Man,am I happy!I've heard alot of sportcasters calling Nick a liar.Has anybody ever heard of changing your mind? I really think he meant it when he said he was not going to Bama...he just changed his mind.I do it all the time.No crime in that.

I was 18 or 19 fishing in a local fruitjar tourney.We were looking pretty pitiful fishing out of a canoe(don't laugh!) amongst all of those bass boats and a few jon boat mod bassboats.We did win for the largest trash fish.We caught a really big jackfish(chain pickeral;I don't consider a chain pickeral a trash fish,but everybody else did).Won a couple of bucks.

I prefer a spinning rig for dropshotting.I use a Shimano spinning reel on a 7' medium spinning rod.

I like a baitcaster for power fishing situations such as crankbaits,spinnerbaits,C-rig,pitchin'/flippin',jerkbaits,and larger topwaters.I love my spinning rigs just as much.Use them for finese situations like dropshotting,splitshotting,weightless senkos,and downsized,light weight lures(for easier casting.).

I've used the Yum Garlic scent on plastics mainly.I use it to cover any scents that might turn a bass off such as snuff,cigarettes,human scent,etc.

I've had alot of success using the 4" Senko on a dropshot rig and the splitshot rig.I go to these methods when fishing is tough,so my thinking is to also downsize a truly effective bait in conjunction with these two finese techniques.

I think that it's a tossup between KVD and Ike.I really like KVD better,but it's hard to argue with AOY(which I think KVD would have won if he hadn't missed a tournament with a nit picky DQ).

Forgot to mention that in MS the freshwater license is $9.85.The saltwater license license is $5.85.You can buy both for $15.70.

I think that it will increase.With the bigger coverage that bassin' gets on TV,I think more and more young people that normally would not be turned on by fishing are seeing that bassin' is "cool" and not just a bunch of hillbillies(hillbillies are a welcome and major force in our sport also).I notice that many of the younger anglers on this forum are not who you would think would be obssessed with bassin',but they are.This is very encouraging news for the sport of fishing in general and bassin' in particular.

Sorry,I also have two.I'd say a spinnerbait is my strength in bassin'.I can most always get something going with a spinnerbait.I also consider the floating minnow as my top bait.I like Rapalas and Rogues REALLY early in the morning from mid spring through mid summer.I've caught alot of big bass on these baits.

I like Norman crankbaits and Rapala floaters and crankbaits.They are both bargains considering that they are such fine baits.
