  1. For the price of those i would suggest getting the citica on sale for $89
  2. Not to sure about that river but in the potomac river a trolling motor wont even budge you up stream. You want a gas motor probally like a 3 hp and you will have no problem.
  3. Opinion based on experience is much more valuable to me than experience based on I read, or I heard.
  4. Would the new curado 300 be a good swimbait reel. Im in the north so i will probally only use 20 lb line.
  5. I agree I will buy the knockoff if its half the price of matts. It also looks a little smaller so that would be a plus to.
  6. Man that is a donkey ;D I just got my first boat and i immediately plan on getting into the swimbaits. Any begginers advice you all have? Looks like you know what your doing Nice Fish
  7. In the State Of MD im pretty sure its illegal to move fish from one body of water to another
  8. When they transition from summer to fall they tend to get more active. But i dont think they are in that transition yet some are always shallow but deeper water is still probally your best bet. In about 2 weeks or so they will probally start moving towards the creeks following the baitfish.
  9. Looks sweet planning on buying one this winter for next year. Want to hear some reviews and hold it first
  10. I like the mojo they are a nice price but i want to see how cheap the old legends go on sale for those ive always wanted but cant afford
  11. The only time i go full throttle is spot to spot and usually then i go at speed 4 and not 5 because i dont want to drain the battery faster. When i get to a spot its usually speed 2 and the highest would be 3 bust mostly 2 or one.
  12. I find flat bottoms to be more stable myself when moving around in the boat and the flats can go in much shallower water.
  13. Has anyone used both of these and knows if the maxumm is worth the extra money? It says it can save battery up to 5x. I would be looking at the 50 lb thrust its 370 for maxumm and 200 for endura i think. Any advice or anybody used these that can give some input? thanks
  14. Sorry for changing subject but i got a new 12; jon and was wondering the best place to mount the transducer? Seen this clip to mount on trolling motor what do you suggest?
  15. I always ask you would be surprised how many say yes and the worse they can do is say no
  16. I also think that this is why they made them hollow bodied so theres not as much plastic to rip the hook threw
  17. If there is not much stuff to hang up on i would suggest the hook sticking out a little so you dont have to rip threw the plastic as much, but if there is that should be fine to when you set the hook it should rip right threw the plastic and dig in that bass.
  18. Bass pro has the pfleuger president on sale for $100 and the supreme for $120 both very nice at a great price
  19. I have used mattlures baby bass and have caught some nice ones. I have also used the little 2.5" mattshad and tore em up in a little pond havent used it on a lake. They are good lures. If your going to fish swimbaits the good ones are worth the money just try not to lose em lol
  20. just bought my first boat yesterday 12' jon boat brand new trailer and i got 5 hp motor on the back the boat is the only thing not new its a 2005 crestliner so its not old. I am excited and cant wait to get all the paperwork done and hit the water
  21. Get yourself some Mattlures MAttshads. *** has the 2.5" ones that weigh 1/3 oz for $7.99 for two they are very durable plastics and have way better action then any storm.
  22. Yup dont worry about it, its the circle of life(kinda) I feel the same way when it happens because i have such a high respect for the bass and find them to be very interesting fish. I can catch a trout gut it and cook it up feeling nothing but if it were a bass i would almost feel like i was gutting a family member :'(
  23. Do it for the love of fishing especially the challenge in bass fishing. I would love to do it for the fame
  24. x2 I have been doing a lot of pond fishing the last two hours of sunlight. And dont let them discourage you while my buddies have been using soft plastcs ive been tearing em up on the Manns Baby Minus and norman fatboy...but specifically these two very shallow cranks and fish em slow ;D
  25. If bass waters get to overpopulated with bass then the bigs one dont get as big. Too much competition for food. So it is actually good to take a couple 12 inchers home so them 3 pounders dont have so much competition for forage and next year will be even bigger. I do think however anything bigger then say 3 pounds should remain in the water to let it get bigger. But you caught it so its your fish you can do whatever you please. For the sport tho the big ones should be left alone. ;D
